He is a very athletic in the box banger that is one of the more sought after prospects in northern California in this rising Junior class. Look for other offers to come in this Spring eval period as well, as Cahoon is up to 7 offers so far.

Cahoon is going to end up being one of the highest recruited players across northern California and has picked up his most recent offer from Navy. He is one of the top players in the WCAL, and is a true big time hitter in the box with plus movement abilities while a very balanced player. The Saint Francis product is up to five offers to this point from SJSU, Oregon State, SDSU, UAB and Navy.

Cahoon is one of the more faster rising ’26 prospects in the state as a linebacker, and is very athletic and fluid for the position with a strong build and fits the mold of a new age college backer. For only a Sophomore, he started on one of the top teams in northern California, and showed that he can both cover, and play violent in the box in the run game and has a relentless motor. He is quick to diagnose plays, triggers well in space and has elite closing speed in the backfield with also some pass rush abilities up the middle as well. He also flashes operating around the ball with a low hat, + COD abilities and shows smooth lateral movement while not afraid to go through blockers or bend around them without giving up ground. So far, he has racked up offers from SDSU, SJSU and UAB and he will be a no brainer 12+ offer kid by the time his career wraps up.

This is a very talented and serious group that the Lancers have in this 2026 class, and Cahoon leads that class and is one of the top linebackers across the state. He is coming off a stellar Second year season for the Lancers and won Sophomore of the Year Honors within the talent loaded WCAL at the conclusion of the season. In his second prep campaign, he went over the 100 tackle mark, and had 9  TFL’s and 1 sack. Cahoon is a high motor kid that flies around, flashes closing speed, range outside the tackles and has a quick trigger in the box when making plays behind the line. He is a violent player that can get off blocks quickly and shows elite COD/movement abilities while a sure tackler in the open field. Cahoon also shows a high IQ when sniffing out screens/draws and closes quickly while playing with a high motor at all times. He is a no brainer FBS caliber linebacker that should have a huge off-season and is one of the top defenders returning across Norcal.
