<em>Starting a new series of deep dives into CA prospects with evaluations of last season’s film. In this edition, we’ll take a look at two talented brothers out of Damien HS and two DBs out of SoCal that will be players to watch in their senior seasons. </em> <span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="219675" first="Jeremiah" last="Claiborne"]-  <strong>RB, Damien, 2023</strong></span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Claiborne transferred from Citrus Valley where he was the leading rusher in his junior season posting 1,320 rushing yards and 16 TDs. He produced explosive plays out of the backfield with his burst through the hole and natural athleticism/speed. He shows vision finding lanes between the tackles and moves well in tight spaces. He’s a smooth runner with quick feet, great balance, and ability to shake off tackles at the second and third levels. He’s been a standout on the showcase circuit showing a solid foundation of pass-rush skill/ability and power coming off the edge. He’s a talented playmaking DB that will be playing alongside one of CA’s top overall 2023 prospects in [player_tooltip player_id="190273" first="Jordan" last="Shaw"]. He’s a ballhawk in zone coverage playing with high-level ball skills and athleticism and can make plays with the ball in his hands. He flashes quick reactions and plays extremely well with his eyes. He’s a playmaking safety that showed ability to effectively cover man or zone. He’s an instinctive player that anticipates throws and jumps routes across the middle. He shows timing breaking up passes and is a strong tackler in space working downhill from his safety spot.
