In this edition of our ongoing Film Reviews, we're taking a look at a 2025 defensive back who can recognize plays quickly, a 2024 quarterback who has great presence in the pocket, a 2023 linebacker who earned All-Region honors in 2021 and finally, another 2023 defensive back who can play sideline to sideline. Let's jump in:
2025 Greenville DB [player_tooltip player_id="276660" first="Christian" last="Henderson"] (@ChristianH24DB)

For 2021 to be Henderson's freshman season, he had an impressive year. He has great eye discipline and can recognize plays quickly. He typically plays on the outside left hash and has the speed to stay with receivers. He has the ability to get good depth against the deep balls from quarterbacks that puts him in position to pick it off and get some extra yardage before he's brought down. He will transfer from Southside Christian, who won the 1A state championship in 2021 to nearby Greenville, who made it to the third round of the playoffs before losing to South Pointe.
2024 Gray Collegiate QB [player_tooltip player_id="119009" first="Riley" last="Staton"] (@riley_staton3)

Staton is listed at 6'3, 185 pounds and has impressive pocket presence to where when the ball is delivered, the receiver can keep on running. There is a nice velocity on his throws to where only his receiver will catch it, like on a beautiful back shoulder throw for a TD (see 1:38 mark). He can make intermediate throws and ones to the sideline with preciseness. Staton threw for 917 yards and 7 touchdowns, leading the War Eagles to the 2A state championship in 2021.
2023 Wando LB [player_tooltip player_id="313408" first="Mikey" last="Rosa"] (@MikeyRosa5)

Rosa was an All-Region selection in 2021 for his play, and with good reason. He is a downhill, attacking inside backer with an aggressiveness that you want to see. He has good instincts to recognize an inside run play, for example and come up and prevent a touchdown like we saw just seconds into watching his film.
2023 Northwestern LB [player_tooltip player_id="202765" first="Curtis" last="Wilmore"] (@wilmore_curtis)

Wilmore moves quickly from sideline to sideline and can quickly diagnose a play. He was able to limit a quick throw to a short gain because of his speed to get to the play and defeat any blockers. It will be interesting to see how he develops heading into 2022.
