WR Gregor Jones | 6’4″ 180lbs | 2023 | George Ranch
Gregor Jones hits every checkmark for your prototypical X wide receiver. Outside of his elite size, Jones has a well-rounded skill set that he know how to use. His route running is very crafty. He does a great job getting open and is fluid and fires out of his breaks. Jones has a great jump ball skill set and is a double move threat. He drops his hips, gets DBs to bite, then finds the football. Gregor Jones is a big-time sleeper in the Houston area and will continue to make noise in 2022. Jones is starting to get some D1 interest but nothing official yet.
WR Bryan K Domino Bryan K Domino 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Fort Bend Christian Academy | 2023 State TX | 5’10″ 160lbs | 2023 | Ft Bend Christian
Don’t let the measurables or school throw you off, Bryan K Domino Bryan K Domino 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Fort Bend Christian Academy | 2023 State TX needs to be college radars. Domino has room to grow but already has down-the-field speed, great hands, and gets open all across the field. Regardless if he was lined up in the slot or out wide, Domino did an excellent job of getting open down the field. Playing on Mike Evans’ DAB squad he was the guy that instantly caught your eye on the offensive side of the ball. In 2021 Domino had over 1,200 receiving yards and 19TD off 57 receptions. Domino just might be one of the most underrated receivers in Texas.
CB Jackson Powers | 5’10″ 165lbs | 2024 | Ft Bend Christian
Lining up at CB for Mike Evans’ DAB, Jackson Powers brought his handcuffs out. He had some of the most impressive hips/feet I saw at the loaded tournament. He likes to get up in the receiver’s face, get his hands on you and doesn’t need to hold. Powers has crisp technique that college coaches would have a ball working with. Disciplined, technical, and versatile is three words that came to mind when watching his game. Jackson Powers can play bump and run on the outside or slide in the nickel and hold it down, either way Powers will make plays.
DB Xavier Skowron Xavier Skowron 6'0" | 175 lbs | ATH Texas City | 2025 State TX | 6’0″ 175lbs | 2025 | Texas City
One of the younger guys that caught my eye at the tournament was Xaiver Skowron. With great size and ball skills for just a freshman, you noticed the Texas City safety any time he was on the field. Skowron is more than an athlete, he uses his eyes and head to his advantage. In zone, he was a step ahead of the QB and got his hands on the ball when the pass was forced in. There wasn’t much room for the ball to fit in when Skowron was in coverage. He played very fast and flew around on every rep. Even though it is 7v7, he was in pursuit, was in the position to make the “tackle”, and was where he needed to be at all times. He currently sits with 2 D1 offers and will accumulate more throughout his young career.
CB Elijah Cotter | 6’0″ 160lbs | 2024 | Taft (SA)
STX’s (South Texas) had a notable weekend after making the trip to The Woodlands from San Antonio. Cotter had several impressive reps while in zone coverage. I noticed that he would establish his leverage and would refuse to be beaten that way. With good size and length, he profiles well as a zone corner. He had several PBUs and an interception in the action I saw him in. Cotter breaks fast on the ball and has good hands to take it away. Look for Cotter’s stock to steadily increase going into his junior season.
