Here is a mix of the top athletes in the DMV. We will cover players who are listed as Linebackers, Defensive Backs, and Running Backs. However, what they all have in common is that they are all players from the Class off 2025 who made an impact.

Clatterrbaugh is listed as the number 1 Athlete and 13 the overall player in the State. He earned 2nd Team All State as a Linebacker, 1st Team All Region 4B, 1st Team All District, and made All District Honorable Mention as a Tight End. Not to mention, he is also the 220 pound wrestling 4A State Champion. His stats were just ridiculous last season. he had 153 tackles for the Cyclones, averaged 17 tackles a game, had 19 tackles for a loss, 3 sacks , 6 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 Defensive TD. offense he caught 12 passes for 213 yards and had 3 touchdowns.

Moore is our 2nd ranked Athlete and is the 20th ranked overall prospect in the state of Virginia. He was part of a Salem team that had a 8-3 record and made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs before losing to Kempsville High School. Look for Moore to be an impact player for them next season.

Ford is 3rd ranked Athlete and 30th overall in the state. He received multiple honors in just his freshmen year. Ford earned 3rd Team All Tidewater, 2nd Team All State, and 1st Team All Region honors as a Running Back. He ran for 635 yards and 9 touchdowns. His production was a crucial part in leading Kings Fork to an 11-2 record and a playoff run to the State Semi Final before losing to eventual State Champion, Varina. He already has offers from Duke and Campbell.
Amir Wallace Jones | 6’2’’ 190 lbs | St. Johns College (DC)
Jones earned playing time as a freshmen playing in one of the toughest high school football conferences in America. This impressive freshmen earned Player Of The Week during the season for the Cadets, and also had a varsity interception during the season. Look for Wallace Jones recruiting stock to sky rocket once he continues to make plays for St. Johns College.

Carter is the top ranked Defensive Back in the state and 14th ranked overall player in the state. He was named 2nd Team All Conference as a DB, and Honorable Mention as a Kick Returner. He also finished the season with 4 Interceptions, 2 pick 6’s, `10 touchdowns, 9 pass break ups, 22 tackles, and also included 18 receptions on offense in only 8 games of play. Carter is already of to a strong spring. At a recent 7v7 tournament, the lock down DB went the entire tournament without allowing any catches from the receivers that he was covering.

Hughes is the 3rd ranked Defensive Back and 34th overall player in the state for the Class of 2025. I look for him to have another great camp season this spring and summer. Last year, this Freshmen All American won MVP at a FBU Camp in Baltimore, and was clocked in at a 4.6 in the 40 yard dash. Freedom finished last season with a 10-3 record and made it to the State Semi Final game before losing to the State Runner Up, Battlefield High School.
