The 2025 rankings were released recently and I like to dissect some of the state's most explosive pass catchers. These play makers all have varsity experience and are some of the guys who will be names to know for the next couple of years.

(See Stock Risers) Spence makes a notable jump from the 10th ranked overall player in the class to the 2nd ranked. His overall size, athleticism, and ability to play both ways reminds me of the current number one prospect in the country, Travis Hunter. Ironically, Spence has an offer from Jackson State and Florida State (the school where Hunter is now signed to and the school where he was previously committed to), along with a few others like Campbell, Boston College, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Duke, South Carolina, and Liberty.
[player_tooltip player_id="295784" first="Drew" last="Kleski"] | 5'10'' 160 lbs | Midlothian High School
Kleski is the 2nd ranked receiver in the class of 2025 and the 9th overall prospect in the state. He is quick- twitch receiver who was a play maker for Midlothian this past fall. As a Freshman starting on Varsity, he earned 3rd Team 5C All Region honors and All Metro Richmond Honorable Mention.
[player_tooltip player_id="1228359" first="Bryce" last="Yates"] | 6' 170 lbs | Matoaca High School
Yates is the 3rd ranked receiver in the state and the 11th ranked overall player. He was named as an Adidas Freshmen All American and a 3rd Team All Region recipient. He tallied 26 receptions for 376 yards and averaged 14.5 per reception with 2 touchdowns. On defense, he was responsible for 2 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery, and 19 tackles. He is also a 2 sport athlete that can give you a solid 20 point consistently on the basketball court.
[player_tooltip player_id="193637" first="LeBron" last="Bond"] | 5'9'' 155 lbs | Maury High School
LeBron is the 4th ranked receiver on our list and the 18th overall player in the state. He is a good route runner and has the speed to force defenses into a double coverage. The Maury Freshman is already garnering the attention of many college coaches. He currently has 6 Division 1 offers from Duke University, Virginia Tech, Marshall, Coastal Carolina, Liberty, & the University of Maryland.
[player_tooltip player_id="185394" first="Landon" last="Labiak"] | 5'9'' 160 lbs | Hickory High School
Labiak is the 23rd overall player in the state of Virginia and the 5th ranked Wide Receiver in the state. He has a good get off on the ball and the ability to stack the defender on deep balls. Also, he shows decent body control when jumping for a contested ball against defenders. He Started Varsity as a freshmen and was a key contributor to Hickory High School's first ever playoff appearance.
