Now that we’re in the offseason, it’s offer city all across Georgia, and now that March is here, prospects are allowed to take visits and check out schools this spring. With more and more visits, offers are flying around and multiple Georgia prospects saw an offer from the Clemson Tigers come their way this week.
Here are a few peach-state prospects who earned an offer from Clemson this week…
He was once considered “under the radar”, but that reference to the Atlanta native is long gone after seeing his recruitment blow up so far in 2022. The 6-foot-5 245-pounder from Woodward Academy was able to get to the QB with ease last fall, and the Clemson staff took notice, extending an offer this past Saturday. One of the top EDGE defenders and pass rushers in the Atlanta are, Hoffler got to the QB 9 times last fall, and when he meets the ball-carrier, he knows how to deliver a big hit. He’s a guy who demands double teams, and if he doesn’t, he’s going to make a big play. He now holds offers from Clemson, Ohio State, Auburn, Penn State, among others.
A versatile defensive linemen from small town Thomaston, Searcy is one of the top overall defenders in Middle Georgia due to his size and physicality. He’s a good-looking prospect with room to add more mass, and it’s easy to see the talent he brings to the table. He’s an excellent run defender can can blow up plays in the backfield. He’s so tough to handle for opposing linemen and has impressive length and quickness for his size at 6-foot-5 250-pounds. The Clemson Tigers know how to find quality defenders, and they had no problem extending an offer to Searcy.
Looking for size? Owens is a meaty lineman with lots of mass and raw strength. The big 6-foot-7 345-pounder is a force in the run game and has no problem throwing opposing defensive linemen backwards. The Tigers’ offensive line has fallen off the last couple of years, and Owens is someone who could bring them more size and physicality. He was simply too big and too powerful for defensive linemen in the region to handle last year, and he’s earned some big offers because of it. He has long arms, plays with balance, and is one of the top left tackles in the entire classification. The big metro-Atlanta lineman is one of the state’s best, and he should expect even more offers to come his way this spring.

Robert Billings – DB – Milton
One of the hardest hitting defensive backs in the 2023 class, Billings is coming off an excellent regular season for the 7A powerhouse Milton Eagles, showing he can both cover and help in the run game. He also happens to be one of the hottest defensive back prospects in the state, earning an offer from the Clemson Tigers during a visit this past weekend. The 6-foot-1 180-pounder made 66 total tackles from his safety position and picked off five passes as well. He also forced a fumble, caused a fumble, and blocked a punt on special teams. He’s smart, instinctive, and has made a lot of plays for one of the state’s top defenses. He’s tough, knows how to hit, and should to see some offers come his way now that Clemson has jumped on board.
