The talent in the state of Arkansas is impressive and they were able to display in Dallas this weekend. We are going to look at some of the prospects that opened some eyes at the Dallas Pylon tournament.
Kane Archer Kane Archer 6'1" | 205 lbs | QB Greenwood Bulldogs | 2026 State AR -Quarterback-Greenwood-2026
Archer saw action with True Buzz at the Dallas Pylon tournament. Archer has opened plenty of eyes up to this point and he continued to impress in Dallas over the weekend. With scholarship offers from Missouri, Arkansas, and Michigan already Archer will continue to impress scouts this offseason. Archer is a prospect to watch out for as the season approaches. He has the potential to put up some massive numbers. The best is yet to come for the Greenwood quarterback.
Carter McElhany Carter McElhany 5'7" | 155 lbs | WR Greenbrier | 2023 State AR -Wide Receiver-Greenbrier-2023
The Greenbrier wide receiver to continues to have a strong offseason. McElhany was extremely impressive at the Dallas Pylon tournament over the weekend. He was able to showcase his impressive speed and his ability to make people miss in the open field. McElhany has set the bar high a strong 2022 football season. Opposing defensive backs are going to have a difficult time with McElhany this season.
Bryce Perkins Bryce Perkins 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Van Buren | 2024 State AR -Quarterback-Van Buren-2024
Perkins is a quarterback that can open plenty of eyes with his arm strength. He can fit the ball into some tight windows, and he is starting to pick apart opposing defenses. Perkins is going to have an opportunity to throw the football plenty of times this year with the Van Buren Pointers. The tournament performances continue to get stronger, and he is setting the stage for a strong 2022 football season. Keep an eye on Perkins the best is yet to come.
Ajavion Gilmore Ajavion Gilmore 5'10" | 145 lbs | DB El Dorado | 2025 State AR -Athlete-El Dorado-2025
El Dorado is one school that is not at a shortage for talented football players. Gilmore fits that description well. He was able to put his hands on display this weekend in Dallas. Whether it be catching passes or picking off opposing quarterbacks, Gilmore played extremely well over the weekend. The El Dorado wide receiver s a player to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.
Miguel Graham-Defensive Back-Bryant-2023
I have been impressed Graham since I got to see him play in the state playoffs last season. He is one defensive back that will compete and not quit on a play. Graham was all over the field during the Dallas Pylon 7-on-7 tournament. Graham put on display his ability to jam the opposing wide receiver as well as his ability to make plays on the ball. Graham has flown under the radar; however, his performances continue to open plenty of eyes.
Eric McGehee-Quarterback-Little Rock Parkview-2024
For those wondering if the 2024 quarterback position is a strong one in the state of Arkansas simply need to watch some of the film that Eric McGehee has. Over the weekend, the Little Parkview signal caller displayed a strong arm. He was able to connect with his wide receivers in the red zone as well as hitting the wide receivers in the open field. McGehee is a prospect that scouts are going to want to keep an eye on this season. The ceiling is high for the Little Rock Parkview quarterback.
Anton Pierce Anton Pierce 6'3" | 205 lbs | DB Little Rock Mills | 2023 State AR -Athlete-Little Rock Mills-2023
One prospect that I expect to have a big tournament was Anton Pierce Anton Pierce 6'3" | 205 lbs | DB Little Rock Mills | 2023 State AR . Needles to say, the Little Rock Mills standout did not disappoint. Pierce used his size and speed to cause plenty of headaches for the opposing wide receivers. He has set the bar high during the offseason and he has the opportunity to explode this coming season. With two scholarship offers to his credit the best is yet to come.
Jabrae Shaw Jabrae Shaw 5'11" | 190 lbs | ATH Little Rock Mills | 2023 State AR -Athlete-Little Rock Mills-2023
Shaw terrorized opposing wide receivers in Dallas over the weekend. He is a prospect that continues to improve and hone his craft at every tournament. Shaw having played both sides of the ball he is able to anticipate the routes being run in impressive fashion. On the offensive side of the ball, Shaw runs extremely smooth routes, and he will have the chance to terrorize opposing defenses this fall. Keep an eye out for Shaw he is performing at a very high level.
