Continue ReadingToday, we dipped into South Carolina and looked at a strong core of 2025 recruits on the offensive side of the football. I believe this group of prospects could see their stock rise this spring and beyond. They’ve already proven to be major varsity contributors and have put together some intriguing highlight tapes as just freshmen. Remember these names as they progress over the next three seasons.
RB: Marquise Henderson, 6′, 170, Belton Honea Path
A speedy back with fiery acceleration once he gets into the second and third levels of the field. He reads zone blocking schemes like a polished veteran and will stick his foot in the dirt if he spots a cutback lane. To me, this youngster is a no-brainer Power-Five back based on his size, speed, balance & shiftiness.
QB: Will Wilson Will Wilson 6'1" | 220 lbs | QB Richland Northeast | 2025 State SC , 6’1″, 190, Richland Northeast
Wilson has some noticeable zip on his throws and can fit the ball into really tight windows. As a runner, he’s quite patient and has the wiggle to make defenders miss in 1 on 1 tackle situations. This young man is as tough as they come and took some serious shots from unblocked defenders but always seemed to find a way to bounce off them and keep plays alive.
QB: Gavin Owens Gavin Owens 6'4" | 210 lbs | QB Rabun Gap | 2025 State GA , 6’4″, 195, Wren
A southpaw with an impressive arm on film. Gavin has prototypical size to go along with calm feet and a lightning-quick release. He’s comfortable throwing on the move and knows how to use his eyes as a weapon against opposing safeties.
QB: Trooper Floyd, 6’1″, 170, Chester
A strong timing thrower who can quickly set up his feet and get the ball out when under pressure. Floyd excels as a short-intermediate thrower and will take what the defense gives him. He’s a surprisingly powerful runner who can make a major impact on called quarterback runs, especially in short-yardage or “and goal” situations.
QB: Kaegan Chambers Kaegan Chambers 6'2" | 170 lbs | QB Chesterfield | 2025 NC , 6′, 160, Chesterfield
A decisive quarterback prospect with excellent ball placement. Chambers is extremely gifted athletically and has the wheels to outrun defenders with an angle on him. He shows outstanding touch on vertical throws towards the sideline and is quite the escape artist when the pocket collapses.
WR: CJ Willingham CJ Willingham 5'9" | 140 lbs | WR Wren | 2025 GA , 5’9″, 150, Wren
A fluid route runner that can take the top off a defense working out of the slot or on the outside. He’s a big-play threat anytime he touches the ball and will cut back against the grain if defenders overpursue. As a blocker, Willingham will fight with his hands inside on the breastplate and keep his feet churning on contact.

TE: Brady Ambrose, 6’5″, 230, Catawba Ridge
RB: Jevon Edwards Jevon Edwards 5'9" | 195 lbs | RB South Aiken | 2025 State SC , 5’10”, 170, South Aiken
