[player_tooltip player_id="235361" first="Karmello" last="English"]-|6’0 185| | Central|
[player_tooltip player_id="235361" first="Karmello" last="English"] can be described in one simple word: explosive. English is exactly what you need in a wide receiver, he has elite speed, fantastic footwork, and great hands that have allowed him to be a monster outside. English excels at route running, and with that, he gains separation from defensive backs with ease and consistently wins one on one matchups to help move his offense. Last year, English had a phenomenal junior season year- hauling in 70 passes for 1059 yards and 18 touchdowns with an additional 65 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns as well. English has not gone unnoticed of course, having received offers from Alabama, Auburn, and many other national powerhouses. Keep an eye on him this fall as he’s sure to once again be an electric playmaker for Central.
[player_tooltip player_id="240423" first="Jaylon" last="Cunningham"]-|5’11 170| |Anniston|
[player_tooltip player_id="240423" first="Jaylon" last="Cunningham"] has been a game-changer for Anniston’s offense, providing a ton of speed and opportunities downfield in the passing game. Cunningham is insanely fast and it’s seen crystal clear on film- he has the burst and acceleration to go from 0-100 with ease and generates a ton of huge plays. Anniston uses this greatly to their advantage, he thrives off of bubble screens and can stretch the field better than anyone else out there. Cunningham has gotten some attention from some great programs, having received offers from Tennessee, USF, Southern Mississippi, and more. Cunningham has a ton of talent and potential, if he continues to build off of the foundation he’s already set, the rest of the state is in trouble!
[player_tooltip player_id="235368" first="Amare" last="Thomas"]-|5’11 180| |Pinson Valley|
[player_tooltip player_id="235368" first="Amare" last="Thomas"] is another member of this year’s incredibly talented Pinson Valley squad, and if he can produce at the rate he has for them- the rest of the 6A is going to have to strap in. Thomas is yet another super-fast receiver that simply flies. Thomas consistently gains fantastic separation off of defensive backs due to both his speed and footwork, his release and route running makes it incredibly difficult for man-to-man corners to keep up with him. Thomas has been doing very well on the recruiting trail the last few months, listing offers from Penn State, Louisiana Monroe, UAB, and more! Thomas and Pinson Valley in general are going to be a must-watch duo this fall- expect to see a ton of huge plays from both of them!
[player_tooltip player_id="128188" first="RJ" last="Hamilton"]-|5’10 170| |Hoover|
[player_tooltip player_id="128188" first="RJ" last="Hamilton"] has been both a fantastic athlete and receiving option for Hoover, helping his offense consistently move the chains. A dual-sport athlete and Vanderbilt baseball commit, Hamilton possesses fantastic natural athleticism that has translated over seamlessly to him playing wide receiver. Hamilton has phenomenal hands, he can make a variety of tough-to-grab catches whether he’s in tight coverage or open field and after the catch is able to take plays for significantly larger gains than expected. Last fall, Hamilton was able to haul in 53 receptions for 1063 yards and 10 touchdowns. Vanderbilt baseball commit. As always, Hoover is likely going to be great, but keep watch of Hamilton outside as he’s got a ton to offer his last season before becoming a Commodore!
[player_tooltip player_id="131891" first="Kohl" last="Summerville"]-|6’3 190| |Gordo|
[player_tooltip player_id="131891" first="Kohl" last="Summerville"] is a big, physical, reliable pass catcher that has been fantastic for Gordo. Summerville is able to do things at his size that many in his position can’t, he has a rare combination of size, body control, quickness, and elusiveness- that really sets him apart from other prospects. Summerville was dominant last fall, his chemistry with now South Carolina quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="125932" first="Tanner" last="Bailey"] was outstanding- the two consistently connected for a ton of big plays all season. Summerville has been receiving more and more attention after his junior season, receiving offers from Fordham, Troy, Jacksonville State, and more! With the talent he has, keep an eye on Summerville, more offers are surely going to be heading his way.
