There is a ton of senior talent still to be had here in Wisconsin! To help prove that I want to go through and build a Super Team or Dream Team out of all the still available prospects. It is going to quickly become apparent that if this were a real team that they would be extremely difficult to move the ball on. College coaches need to be in hot pursuit of these pieces as I have no doubt that they can all play at the next level, and at a pretty high level at that. Don’t miss out on these dudes. Let’s check them out!
Defensive Line
[player_tooltip player_id="118643" first="Alex" last="Winters"], 6’3" 215 lbs- DeForest (Alex’s Highlight Page) Long, lean, with a quick first step. That’s what stands out when you start the tape. Alex is an intriguing prospect who clearly has the athletic traits paired with the build to make him one of the top DEs still available. His body control stands out as well as he is able to dip and bend under linemen or quickly juke/sidestep around them. He is relentless during each rep, and when he gets his chances he closes quickly and finishes plays violently. Winters’ pass rush repertoire is deep as well. He has shown a successful long arm, hand swat, and rip to go along with the flexibility and elusiveness. The DE holds offers from SMSU, and Concordia- St. Pual. [player_tooltip player_id="31204" first="Cameron" last="Done"], 6’5" 280 lbs- Rufus King (Cam’s Highlight Page) The big man out of Milwaukee has all the goods. He is definitely a D1 talent with the size, strength, and mobility to succeed at the next level. He has had success lining up all along the DL, but he is at hist best on the inside. His first step transitions into power so quickly and overpowers the OL instantly. Fast, heavy hands allows him to punch, control, and steer his opponents allowing him to shed when he finds the ball. I haven’t seen any offers for the big man, but he has had some slight FBS interest. Check in on the stud. [player_tooltip player_id="31231" first="Gabe" last="Alyousef"], 6’2" 275 lbs- Oak Creek (Gabe’s Highlight Page) I must be missing something because from what I can tell the Interior Lineman of the Year for one of the best conferences in WI doesn’t hold any offers. At least that’s according to what I’ve seen on his Twitter. That has to change quick, fast, and in a hurry. The big man dominated the trenches for one of the best teams in the state. The big man is stout in the middle as he is able to hold his ground vs single an double teams thanks to his strong base, low hips and center of gravity, and his nasty play style. It’s not just strength either. Gabe has flashed his quick get off that has allowed him to cross linemen’s face and then get into the backfield where he wreaks havoc weekly. Someone come get this dude! [player_tooltip player_id="118242" first="Blake" last="Siebert"], 6’4" 220 lbs- Cumberland There isn’t updated film, but we have seen what we need to see from one of the state’s best edge rushers/DEs. The long, lean, quick burst defender is going to be a problem at the next level. He has so many tools to mold. The next level believes in him too as he holds 3 offers from the D2 level and 3 more from the D1 level. That includes from the FCS and FBS level. I’m pumped to see his commitment.
Linebackers
[player_tooltip player_id="118326" first="Bryson" last="Clarson"], 6’3" 220 lbs- New Richmond Another defender where the talent and offers don’t match is with the New Richmond product. Bryson has played inside and outside, off the ball and on the edge. he has done it all and succeeded at every spot. Clarson looks so comfortable out in space. That doesn’t happen often with an athlete who is so good at playing downhill. From the ILB position, Clarson is an elite, sideline to sideline LB who is also great at blitzing. His acceleration through the gap is crazy hard to slow down. There is just so much to love here. Size, strength, agility, acceleration, first step explosiveness, range. He is a complete LB that needs far more attention that what his Twitter suggests. [player_tooltip player_id="31217" first="Langston" last="Latham"], 6’2" 220 lbs- Catholic Memorial The LB position is filled with steals that I believe will be stars. Latham is another one of those dudes. The conference Defensive Player of the Year had a great season, but the next level still seems to be sleeping on him. The three time state champ is a force at ILB. He has quick read and react traits strengthened by his quick recognition skills. Once he reads the play Langston flies downhill to stuff the run or shows off the comfort that allows him to be trusted in coverage. Langston also is a talented blitzer thanks to next level acceleration. His timing is perfect as he shoots through gaps untouched. A steal from one of the state’s top programs. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs2ZKzxB_jQ&ab_channel=MidwestSportsFilm[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="118249" first="Will" last="Campbell"], 6’1" 225 lbs- Kaukauna (Will’s Highlight Page) The John Anderson Award winner for the best LB is still available! The ILB is a tackling machine. He has a nose for the ball and the range/short area agility to get him to the ball with ease. Will does a great job of reading the flow of the OL and using that to get himself in perfect position to make the stop. Campbell is one of the best at playing through the trash in trenches and the second level. he even has shown he can drop in to zone coverage and make plays on the ball. Don’t miss out on one of my favorite defenders.
Defensive Backs
[player_tooltip player_id="118370" first="Cody" last="Cotton"], 6’1" 170 lbs- Union Grove (Cody’s Highlights) Cody spent most of his time in the offensive backfield for UG this season where he shined, but where he got his biggest interest was as a DB when the Badgers offered him a PWO after dominating their summer camp. The freakish athlete has the quick twitch change of direction and top end speed to be able to be able to play tight coverage on any receiver he faced. He pairs the physical quickness with mental quickness as he is able to quickly read and react to what he sees. All those same traits shined through on offense as well. Cotton has several offers from the D2 level as well. I can’t wait to see where he goes. [player_tooltip player_id="118254" first="Jackson" last="Schooley"], 6’1" 190 lbs- Wisconsin Rapids (Jackson’s Highlights) I have been a fan of Jackson’s’ for a long time now. The two way playmaker is best as a downhill thumper of a safety. His range allows him to fly downhill and he can turn that closing speed into contact power leading to big, sound hits. Schooley’s physicality is his calling card without a doubt. He will be a tone setter for a program, but to do that he needs more attention. I don’t see any offers reported, which is crazy for one of the top safeties in the state. Jackson has 4.6 speed to go along with the physicality allowing him to cover a deep half successfully. [player_tooltip player_id="118327" first="Collin" last="Stubitsch"], 6’3" 205 lbs- Verona The big man has an elite frame for the safety position. There isn’t a ton of film to go off of right now, but the big athlete was a big part of a playoff caliber team. He also possesses a 3.67 GPA. He gets it done on and off the field. I’m not sure what happened to the interest. He had a ton as a junior, but it seems to have fallen off since then. Collin has the makings of a late in the process steal. Good grades, big body, athleticism, and impact. Don’t miss out! [player_tooltip player_id="31333" first="Stefon" last="Mitchell"], 5’11" 185 lbs- Kenosha Bradford (Stefon’s Highlights) This is another one of my favorite defenders. Stefon has made plays as a safety and cornerback. At the next level I’d give him a shot at CB first. He has the aggressive, confident mentality to step up and press receivers at the line. He also has the speed and agility to be able to run step for step with receivers downfield and through breaks and cuts. The strength is there too so he won’t be able to be pushed aside. I Love his play at the catch point also. He is a natural hands catcher who will be able to create turnovers at the next level. Easily one of the best CBs available!
