Signing Day has come and gone, meaning some of the top talent in the peach state recently made their college decisions. It’s a stressful process, and after plenty of visits, some top Georgia seniors made their announcements this week on Signing Day.
Here are a few prospects who made Signing Day decisions this week...
[player_tooltip player_id="95147" first="Christen" last="Miller"] - Signed with Georgia
One of the top interior DL prospects in the South, Miller chose the in-state Georgia Bulldogs on Signing Day over Ohio State, Miami, and others. The big 6-foot-4 290-pound interior lineman is big, strong, and quick off the ball for his size. He plays with heart, passion, and has a true love for the game. He has a good motor, showing the ability to track down ball-carriers from behind. He plays with good pad level and can overpower smaller offensive lineman. He’s excellent against the run and can get after the passer from the inside as well. Miller dominated throughout his senior season, leading his Cedar Grove squad to a state championship to end his high school career.

EJ Lightsey – Signed With Georgia
One of the top linebackers across the state of Georgia, Lightsey is a 2A state champion out of Fitzgerald who chose the Georgia Bulldogs over South Carolina. A former Florida Gator commitment, Lightsey is a tackling machine who helped lead one of the top overall defenses in 2A last year. Lightsey has good size and knows how to tackle, but what stands out the most about his game is his ability to run. He looks like he’s shot out of a cannon at times, and when he recognizes the play, he can disrupt and get into the backfield in a hurry. He can go sideline to sideline with the best of them, and when he meets the ball carrier, he’s going to deliver a blow. There’s a lot to like about his game as he brings the instincts and physicality to the position as well.

One of the top 2022 receivers in the Atlanta area, the Cedar Grove Saint star and state champion decided to leave the peach state and sign with Nebraska over nearby Georgia Tech. At 6-foot-1 195-pounds, the future Cornhusker is explosive for his size and has a knack for making big plays. He’s big enough to make plays on the outside, but shifty enough to play in the slot and make plays in the middle of the field. He’s quick, he’s a good route runner, and he can be used in a lot of different ways. He’s reliable in the screen game and can be a down-field threat as well. When he has the ball, he’s looking for the end-zone, and he’ll bring that playmaking ability to Lincoln the second he gets to campus.

K.D Hutchinson – Signed With Western Kentucky
One of the most explosive players in west Georgia, the 5-foot-10 175-pounder made his decision and signed with Western Kentucky this week. He’s a threat to score every time he touches the ball. He’s so quick and shifty, making him a dynamic weapon both as a receiver and as a return man. He’s got some acceleration and can really take off when he’s got some space to run. He’s lethal after the catch and has shown consistent hands as well. He’s a playmaker who can change the game, and the Hilltoppers are getting an absolute steal.
