5. [player_tooltip player_id="282728" first="TJ" last="Lateef"], Orange Lutheran
Lateef is big at 6-foot-2 and around 190 pounds. He got a couple of reps for Division 2 champion Orange Lutheran last season and got to learn from offensive coordinator Aaron Corp and senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="25295" first="Logan" last="Gonzalez"]. His throws have a nice arc to them and he is very accurate. He’s a good athlete who can break off a big run when the coverage is too strong. Lateef has offers from Colorado and Florida State.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="282761" first="Michael" last="Tollefson"], San Juan Hills
A lot of the guys on this list have the tools but are a work in progress. Tollefson is already very polished for a freshman quarterback. He has a solid arm and a great grasp of the offense. His timing with his receivers is great and when I saw him throw for OC Elite at a 7-on-7 tournament, he had timing with those guys as well with very little practice time. He is a good athlete who can turn on the jets and run too. He has offers from San Jose State, Nevada and Arizona.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="282750" first="Steele" last="Pizzella"], Simi Valley
Pizzella burst onto the scene when Oregon State bound quarterback Justin Throckmorton got injured in late September. Pizzella filled in nicely and split reps with Throckmorton when he came back in crucial games. He completed 69 percent of his passes for 1,196 yards with 11 touchdowns and one interception. He has one of the smoothest releases I have seen for a freshman and he just looks like a quarterback. He has offers from San Jose State, Delaware State, Middle Tennessee State, Arizona, Colorado State, Florida Atlantic and Georgia.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="282704" first="Alonzo" last="Esparza"], Sierra Canyon
Not the biggest quarterback on this list but he has more tools in his arsenal than most quarterbacks. He is good at escaping the pocket and creating more throwing lanes for himself. He has put on some size since I saw him at the Battle at the Bay passing tournament at Edison last summer. He transferred to Sierra Canyon from Culver City where he threw for nearly 3,000 yards and 24 touchdowns. He takes some big risks with the football but he will mature and grow out of that. Esparza has offers from Charlotte, Florida State, Kentucky, Louisville, Purdue, Oregon and Texas A&M.

1. [player_tooltip player_id="282687" first="Wyatt" last="Becker"], Notre Dame Sherman Oaks
When you watch his film it is easy to see why college scouts like Becker so much. He has a great arm and is accurate to all three levels of the field. He is 6-foot-2 and has room to put on some size. His release is quick and smooth and he is very calm in the pocket. He will be the starting quarterback at Notre Dame this season and those reps as a freshman were valuable for him. Becker has offers from Arizona, Georgia, Miami and Texas A&M among others.
