These student athletes range across all of Illinois and across all levels (8A-1A). Without further ado, let’s dive into part three of our 23′ breakdowns.

Jack Fuller Jack Fuller 5'9" | 175 lbs | ATH Saint Patrick | 2023 State IL Twitter
Mr. Fuller is an athlete that can play both as a slot receiver and as a cornerback. The second clip in his highlights dives into his home run speed as a slot receiver where he’s able to secure the bubble screen and get vertical quickly. Here, he provides an insight into his quick acceleration as he turns the corner sprinting along the sideline for the touchdown on the play. There’s a clip in his highlights where he’s stacked bunch trips to the far side of the field. Once the ball is snapped the other two receivers run “clear out” routes pushing the defense vertically leaving the middle of the field wide open. Upon doing so, this young man takes a delayed release running the underneath route where he’s able to secure the catch in the middle of the field and bounces off the initial hit to get into the endzone for the touchdown. On defense, he can trigger downhill quickly to passes thrown in front of him in the flat where he can deliver a heavy hit sticking the ball carrier. This is seen in the opening clip of his highlights when in zone coverage. This young man is also able to stay on the receiver’s hip pocket and play over/through the receivers to get his hand in the receiver’s basket to force a pass breakup on the deep shot downfield. There’s one clip on his highlights where he’s in his deep third coverage and he’s able to undercut the route as he attacks the ball at the highest point to secure the interception. When in man coverage, there’s a clip in his highlights where he showcases his ability to press the receiver and is able to get hands on by punching the shoulder to slow down the receiver’s route. Upon doing so, he stays with the receiver on the deep shot downfield where he ends up forcing a pass breakup by undercutting the route and getting a hand in the receiver’s basket. In run support, he can trigger downhill quickly using his foot quicks to close quickly. This is seen in one clip where diagnoses the jet sweep and is able to secure the tackle in open space on the perimeter for no gain on the play. There’s another clip in his highlights where he drops back into zone coverage and is flowing to the play from the backside (play is going away from him) before he diagnoses the quarterback escaping the pocket to the backside. This young man is the only defender on the backside when this happens and he plants his foot into the ground to change direction quickly. Upon doing so, he uses his foot quicks to close quickly on the scrambling quarterback to secure the tackle in open space. If the play is going away from him, he can come from the opposite side of the field closing quickly to secure the tackle. He ends up being the last level of defense and he comes through for his team by making the tackle to save the touchdown. Currently holds no offers. Highlights

Mr. Gavric works on the outside as an X receiver. He’s quick off the ball and uses his foot quicks to close the cushion on the cornerback. This young man provides an insight into having the speed to gain separation on deep shots downfield as well as his hand/eye coordination, body control, and jumping ability to play above the rim. In the 2nd clip of his highlights, he showcases the ability to track the ball on deep shots downfield when he runs a fade route. Here, he keeps his eyes on the ball as he gets led to the side of the endzone where he secures the catch getting a toe in for the touchdown. In the first clip of his highlights, he uses his foot quicks to gain a step advantage and win over the top of the defense. This happens when he runs a fade route which results in him coming away with a touchdown. There’s another clip in his highlights where he runs a texas route and breaks the defender off at the top of the route by getting in/out of his break quickly creating separation on the play. When he runs receiver screens he gets vertical upon securing the catch. This is seen in his highlights where once he secures the catch he isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder to play through contact and showcased glimpses of being able to run through weak arm tackles. When he’s working against the press, he’s able to get outside release on the fade route and attacks the ball at the highest point when going up for 50/50 balls to secure the contested catch. When the defender gives him a cushion, this young man provides insight into exploding off the ball and getting into his route quickly. This results in him closing the cushion on the cornerback and is able to gain separation on deep shots downfield when he’s running fade routes. There’s another clip in his highlights which showcases his understanding of spacing. In this clip, he’s able to work through traffic to find the soft spot in zone coverage and sit to become an outlet for his quarterback. Currently holds no offers. Highlights

Mr. Gensler is a halfback that provides insight into his burst and acceleration through the hole. His combination of balance, agility, and playing strength allows him to consistently run through weak arm tackles gaining yards after contact. He’s not afraid to lower his shoulder to play through contact and can break weak arm tackles by keeping his feet driving. This is seen throughout his film where he either breaks long runs or gets into the endzone for the touchdown. This young man has the vision to find running lanes quickly between the tackles. There’s a clip in his highlights where he’s able to get through the line of scrimmage and is off to the races breaking a long run for the touchdown providing a glimpse into his long speed. He also provides insight into being patient waiting for the hole to open up and once it does he’s quick to attack the hole running with good pad level. This young man also showcases a glimpse of using his lateral quickness to turn the corner and can outrun pursuit angles along the sideline for a big gain. There’s a clip in his highlights as well where he finds the cutback lane by using a quick cut to hit the hole on the backside and accelerates breaking a long run on the play. Mr. Cordes works out of a 4-3 defense as a 7 tech/edge. He has a quick first step exploding off the ball to penetrate the backfield which puts him in a position to come away with tackle for losses and sacks. The first two clips in his highlights showcase his quick first step off the ball and gap shooting ability to get through at the snap. Once he does, he’s able to close on the quarterback quickly blowing up the play right as the quarterback secures the snap securing the sack. There are countless clips in his highlights where he’s working on the edge and is able to get to the turn point before the offensive tackle. Once he does he uses his active hands to bat the offensive tackle’s hands down to turn the corner and close on the quarterback securing the sack. When the run is coming at him, he can shoot the gap and get through quickly. There’s a clip in his highlight where he shoots the B gap crossing the offensive lineman’s face and holds gap control by taking on the pulling run blocker at the point of attack closing up the running lane. Upon doing so, he’s able to secure the tackle for loss as the ball carrier had nowhere to go. This all happens with him using good knee bend to take on the run blocker head on with good leverage. This young man will also take pursuit angles on backside pursuit to make the tackle downfield. There’s a clip in his highlights where the play is going away from him and he’s able to close on the ball carrier downfield to secure the open field tackle. Mr. Coroneos can work both out of the slot and on the outside as a receiver. He has the foot quicks to explode off the ball and can close the cushion on the defensive back quickly. This young man showcases his ability to quickly accelerate to full speed upon securing the catch and gets vertical upon dong so. This is seen throughout his film as he can blow by 2nd level defenders. He has the speed to gain separation on deep routes and can take short/quick routes the distance either for a touchdown or break a big gain on the play. There’s a clip in his highlights where he goes up for the 50/50 ball in the back of the endzone to high point the ball to secure the contested catch by getting a foot in just as he goes out of bounds. In the second clip in his highlights, this young man stems his route to the outside out of the slot and delivers a head fake before breaking the corner route outside. Upon doing so, he breaks the defender off at the top of the route so much that the defender falls to the ground. He then secures the catch and showcases his home run speed by outrunning pursuit angles for the touchdown. In the first clip of his highlights, he runs a jet sweep out of the slot and is able to use his lateral quickness to turn the corner. Here, he can break weak arm tackles along the sideline which does slow his momentum but he’s able to accelerate to full speed quickly getting into the endzone for the touchdown. There’s another clip in his highlights where he secures the receiver screen as an outside receiver and gets vertical quickly blowing by the second level defenders. This clip does cut out at the end right as he’s in a foot race with the last defender that has a chance of bringing him down. When going up against off coverage, he has a clip in his highlights working as an outside receiver where he stems his route inside and breaks it outside on the corner route. Here, he tracks the ball well to secure the catch along the sideline then he gets vertical quickly accelerating to full speed to get into the endzone. Currently holds no offers. Highlights

Mr. Vaske is a dual threat quarterback that showcases his athletic ability throughout his highlights. Here, he runs the option and can burst through the line of scrimmage blowing by the second level defenders where he can either break a long run or get into the endzone for a touchdown. He can make big plays when scrambling with the ball. When he gets flushed out of the pocket/on rollouts he showcases the ability to stay under control to make strong and accurate throws on the move. This young man provides an insight into his ability to add easy velocity across all level throws as well (level 1, level 2, and level 3). In the first play of his highlights, he delivers a level 3 throw on a deep shot downfield putting the ball only where his receiver can get it. This results in his receiver coming away with the sideline catch as the defender is on his hip pocket in a tight window. He also provides an insight into being able to put the ball into catchable spots for his receivers both when throwing from the pocket and out of platform on the move. In the second clip of his highlights, this young man runs the option where he keeps the ball and is able to make something out of nothing by using his lateral quickness to turn the corner breaking a long run. In the third clip in his highlights, he gets flushed out of the pocket and has to work into the quarterback scramble drill where he directs the receiver’s downfield. Once he’s out of the pocket/on the move, he gets the ball off right before taking a hit from two defenders for a completion along the sideline. Currently holds no offers. Highlights

Mr. Zimmerman is a halfback that uses his burst and acceleration to get through the hole. He’s also a smooth runner and has quick lateral agility. He can make sharp jump cuts quickly and can get into/out of the hole quickly at times to go the distance breaking long runs for touchdowns. In the first clip of his highlights, he’s patient reading his blockers in front of him before he bursts through the line of scrimmage and blow by the second level defenders giving insight into his long speed as he gets into the endzone for the touchdown. There’s another clip in his highlight where he’s the wildcat quarterback and takes the direct snap. Once he does, he burst through the line of scrimmage breaking weak arm tackles as he fights for extra yards. There’s also a clip in his highlights where it seems as if he’s going to get stopped for a loss on the play behind the line of scrimmage. Instead of this happening, he uses his quick cuts to bounce around defenders and finds an alley along the sideline to hit. Once doing so, he caps off the long run by getting into the endzone for the touchdown. There’s one clip in his highlight where he’s a lead blocker on a quarterback design run. Here, he comes full speed taking on the outside linebacker with full force and pancakes the defender when doing so. There’s only one clip in his highlights providing a glimpse into his pass catching skill set. In this clip, he’s split out in the slot and runs a seam route on a deep shot downfield. Here, he’s able to track the ball and secure the catch with the defender on his hip. Currently holds no offers. Highlights

Mr. DiFranco works out of a 4-3 defense as a 7 tech/edge where he uses his speed and explosiveness off the ball to consistently penetrate the backfield putting him in a position to come away with sacks as well as occasionally come away with tackle for losses. In the first clip in his highlights, he explodes off the ball beating the offensive tackle to the turn point and has active hands to bat hands down at the point of attack to turn the corner. Upon doing so and turning the corner, this young man delivers a backside hit on the quarterback for the sack. There’s another clip in his highlights where he’s continuing to work as he’s holding outside contain in his pass rush and is able to get to the quarterback as the quarterback tries to escape the pocket. This also results in this young man coming away with a sack as he frees himself up once the quarterback tries to escape the pocket. He’s a consistent threat to take the edge when coming on a speed rush as he can consistently get to the quarterback and bring him down for sacks. In the second clip of his highlights, he continues to work through blocks during his pass rush where he beats not one but two offensive lineman blocks before finally getting to the quarterback bringing him down for a sack. This young man consistently uses active hands to club/swim the offensive tackle at the point of attack allowing him to stay free while turning the corner. When the run is coming at him, he can anchor to hold C gap control and fight against being washed down. In this clip, he’s able to keep himself in a position to make a play where the ball carrier runs right into him making it easy to secure the tackle at the line of scrimmage. When the run is going away from him, he can get flat down the line of scrimmage to meet the ball carrier in the hole for no gain on the play. There’s a clip in his highlights where the opposing offense runs a halfback screen. Here, he takes backside pursuit closing on the ball carrier and securing the tackle along the sideline only giving up a few yards on the play. Mr. Gettemy works out of a 4-3 as a Mike linebacker where he showcases glimpses of flowing to the ball and meeting the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage for no gain on the play. In the first clip in his highlights, he takes pursuit angles to the perimeter by flowing to the ball and delivering a heavy hit on the ball carrier to secure the tackle. This young man is used in special teams a lot (punt and KO) where he gets down the field quickly and is able to wrap up to secure the open field tackle. When he’s in zone coverage, there’s a clip where he gets to the hook/curl in the middle of the field and isn’t afraid to deliver a heavy hit on the receiver. Once he gets into the hook/curl zone and sees the pass being completed in front of him, he can rally to the ball to secure the tackle. He has room to add to his frame without losing a step and has high potential heading into his Senior Season Campaign. Currently holds no offers. Highlights

Mr. Goodman works out of a 3-4 defense as a 3 tech, 6 tech, and at times a 7 tech. He provides insight into his speed and quickness off the ball to disrupt plays in the backfield putting himself into a position to come away with sacks and tackle for losses. This young man also provides insight into his agility and balance helping him move through traffic without losing his footing to make tackles in the backfield as well as at the line of scrimmage. There are clips in his highlights where he uses his quick first step to beat the offensive tackle to the turn point and is able to deliver a backside hit on the quarterback coming away with the sack. He provided insight into being able to disengage and close on the quarterback quickly generating pressure on the quarterback forcing throwaways as well as getting there in time to come away with sacks as well. When the run is coming at him, he shoots the B gap to close the hole as he meets the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage for no gain on the play (as seen in the first clip in his highlights). There’s another clip in his highlights where he slow plays the run working down the C gap before triggering to the ball carrier to secure the tackle in the backfield. When the run is going away from him, this young man can shoot the gap working across the offensive lineman’s face into the B gap as he goes flat down the line of scrimmage. This puts him in a position to meet the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage resulting in no gain on the play. He also provides insight into being able to get hands on the run blocker as he locks out and can press the offensive lineman back until the ball carrier goes to make a move. Once this happens, this young man can free himself up to secure the tackle. Currently holds no offers. Highlights
