The Prep RedZone Next class of 2026 Watch List Vol. 2 was recently released. This is a list of prospects, not yet in high school, that look to project to play at the FBS/FCS/Division 2 levels in the future. By no means is this list a sure thing, finalized or complete. It will be updated twice more before the end of August 2022. Again, these are not rankings nor are they an end-all, be-all lists. These are the prospects that we have seen, that stand out to our team. Below, we’ll take a look at Part 1 of the class of 2026 California prospects, labeled as quarterback prospects, that are currently on the Watch List. <strong><img class="alignleft wp-image-292789 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/02/Caedon-Afsharipour-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="217861" first="Caedon" last="Afsharipour"] | Quarterback </strong> <span style="font-weight: 400;">The 6-foot-1, 170-pound throws with good accuracy and timing. Afsharipour has the ability to stand tall in the pocket but isn’t afraid to move the pocket when it collapses. He’s super athletic and displays good mobility as he moves outside. </span> &nbsp; <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/16648457/613a4f555eeca605f483f3ff" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <b><img class="alignleft wp-image-292791 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/02/Isaiah-Arriaza-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="212219" first="Isaiah" last="Arriaza"] | Quarterback </b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Arriaza is a talented leader who already holds offers from Morgan State and UNC-Charlotte. He’s agile enough to evade pressure in the pocket and always keeps his eyes downfield. He possesses a strong arm and the ability to stretch the field vertically. Already claims offers from Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State, Morgan State and Charlotte.</span> <b><img class="alignleft wp-image-277828 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/01/QuentynDemara-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="212231" first="Quentyn" last="DeMara"] | Quarterback </b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">The 5-foot-10, 150-pound quarterback does a nice job getting his body square to his receivers and throws with good timing and anticipation. He’s a legit dual-threat option as he’s very difficult to contain in the open field. Already holds an offer from Charlotte.</span> &nbsp; <iframe title="YouTube video player" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/J9s1G3E3R9c" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <b><img class="alignleft wp-image-292794 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/02/KadenGlover-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="283633" first="Kaden" last="Glover"] | Quarterback </b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">The 6-foot-6, 200-pound signal-caller is a physical presence on the field. He stands tall in the pocket, goes through his progressions and delivers a great deep ball. Hard not to draw a comparison to another Cali product in former OK State, and current Nevada quarterback, Shane Illingworth.</span> <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/16649542/61989b902348210a80e4949f" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <b><img class="alignleft wp-image-292795 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/02/BoogieJohnson-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="212214" first="Boogie" last="Johnson"] | Quarterback </b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Johnson is another dual-threat who excels in the RPO game. He gets the ball out in a hurry to his receivers but he’s also not afraid to pull the ball and run. He’s got good vision and speed and when given space he’s tough to catch. </span> &nbsp; <b><img class="alignleft wp-image-243998 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/12/RyderLyons-150x150.jpeg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="283683" first="Ryder" last="Lyons"] | Quarterback </b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Lyons is a strong-armed quarterback who can throw from the pocket or on the run. He does a good job getting his shoulders square while on the move and has the arm strength to deliver an accurate pass to his receivers. Already holds offers from Utah and BYU.</span> <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/16389887/61a2c178da512903c0bec120" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <b><img class="alignleft wp-image-281764 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/02/BrandonMann-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="283591" first="Brandon" last="Mann"] | Quarterback </b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">The 6-foot-1, 172-pound quarterback had a strong season where he racked up 1,925 yards passing and 21 touchdowns. He’s a dual-threat who looks to pass first but can move the chains with his feet. </span> &nbsp; <iframe title="YouTube video player" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/o-4i4oVRXfE" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <b><img class="alignleft wp-image-276344 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/01/JadenOneal-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="283623" first="Jaden" last="O’Neal"] | Quarterback </b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">The 6-foot-3, 205-pound O’Neal is an accurate passer who often puts the ball where only his receiver can catch it. He stands tall in the pocket, goes through his progressions and throws with nice touch and precision. </span> &nbsp; <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/14689218/61c4d8c864df260434d2e12e" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> <b><img class="alignleft wp-image-277832 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/01/Ashton-Pannell-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="212212" first="Ashton" last="Pannell"] | Quarterback </b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">The 5-foot-11, 155-pound prospect is calm and cool in the pocket and delivers the ball with great accuracy. He shows good form and arm extension and does a nice job going through his progressions. </span> &nbsp; <b><img class="alignleft wp-image-277858 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/01/NateParker-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="212230" first="Nate" last="Parker"] | Quarterback </b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Parker has great mechanics and displays great accuracy whether he’s in the pocket or on the run. The 6-foot, 150-pound quarterback throws a great long ball and is a threat in the vertical passing game. Finished this season with 3,114 yards and 40 touchdowns--video game numbers.</span> <iframe src="//www.hudl.com/embed/video/3/12954435/61dbc177bee085053cafa927" width="640" height="360" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen"></iframe> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
