Aj Johnson – Cathedral – WR – 6’5″ 219 lbs
Johnson is a nightmare matchup on the outside. His size is legit and he knows how to use his frame to his advantage. He’s got fantastic speed and is able to get full speed in just a few strides. Off the line, he’s quick. He doesn’t have a ton of wasted movement and is able to use his hands at the line to get his release. Johnson’s a legit 6’5″ and is able to go up and get pretty much every ball that comes his way. In the RedZone, good luck. He’s going to highpoint the ball, use both hands, and bring it down for 6. His route tree isn’t complete, but he does run some crisp routes. His slant route is clean. He sticks his foot in the ground, makes the shift, flips his hips and head, and gets ready for the ball. I do think Johnson could use some work sinking his hips on his routes and being more fluid with it. He also feels a bit stiff sometimes but both of those are minor things that will get better with time. Johnson could easily be a double-digit TD scorer next year and every year moving forward. His size, ability to jump, and toughness in the RedZone make him a cheat code. If Johnson is able to develop and continues to put the work in, he can be special. His size, athleticism, and ball skills alone are going to draw schools to him. Where he plays will likely be up to him, but I hope he’s able to reach his full potential.
Tanner Aspeslet Tanner Aspeslet 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB Lawrence North | 2025 State IN – Bishop Chatard – QB – 6’2″ 195 lbs
Aspeslet is learning on the fly and starting to get a good feel for the position. He’s got a big arm and loves to let it fly. Seemingly with a flick of the wrist, he’s able to throw the ball 50-yards down the field. He’s able to throw with a nice touch and drop the ball in a bucket or throw it on a rope and get it into a small window. When it comes to going through his progressions, there’s room to grow. When he’s rushed, his footwork can get fairly choppy but outside of that, it’s not bad. He will heel click now and then and cross his feet as well. Minor things that can easily be cleaned up with some work with agility bags. Aspeslet likes to make quick decisions and get the ball out fast. He’s also a rather good athlete. He’s a threat in the running game and defenses have to pay attention. He’ll pull the ball down and be 20-yards down the field before you realize it. He doesn’t turn the ball over often and doesn’t make very many mistakes. I’d love to see him bulk up and really fill out his frame. I also think it could help him get an even stronger arm. There’s a lot to like with Aspeslet and what he can become. Over the next few years, if he develops and puts the work in, he could easily develop into one of the better prospects in the state.
Gabriel Aramboles – Westfield – SB/WR – 6’0″ 202 lbs
Aramboles is someone who can move around the field and makes plays wherever he goes. He can line up out wide, in the slot, and in the backfield. He has very quick feet and could easily develop into a great route runner. His feet are always moving and he doesn’t waste a ton of movement either. He’s got rather good hands and is able to catch pretty much everything that comes in his area. He’s able to make catches in traffic and will take the hit without an issue. After the catch, he’s rather good. He’s able to break some tackles, make some guys miss, and has the speed to get the corner. He essentially turns into an RB after the catch which is exactly what you want. He’s also a willing blocker down the field and will pancake his guy if he gets the chance. He’s a selfless team player who is going to do his job. I could see colleges seeing him as a Slot WR and moving him there permanently. His ability to run over the middle and take the big hit along with not being afraid is what could make him a great Slot WR. He also understands basic leverage and how to get open. He checks a ton of boxes and is just starting to scratch the surface of what he could be. If Aramboles puts the work in during his High School career, the offers are going to come knocking.
Statton Fuller – Columbia City – WR – 5’10″ 155 lbs
Fuller is a crafty receiver who is only getting better. He’s learning how to play receiver at the varsity level and everything that it entails. He’s a playmaker and once the ball is in his hands, good things happen. Fuller is able to get in and out of breaks really quickly. He’s able to put his foot in the ground and make sudden changes of direction as well. When the ball is in his area, he’s going to come down with the ball. He’s got fantastic hands and always uses both hands to go for the ball. He’s got decent sideline awareness and knows when he’s near it. He’s always able to get 1 foot down and make the catch before going out of bounds. Because of that, defenses have to defend every blade of glass. I do think over the next few years, Fuller could hit the weight room and become a bit stronger. He’s able to break some tackles and that would only help him. I think at the collegiate level, there is a chance schools see him as a Slot WR. He’s shifty, agile, and knows how to get open. He knows when to be aggressive and when he can be patient with the ball in the air. He isn’t the greatest blocker and that could use some work as well. He’s got plenty of time to work on the little details and get to where he wants to be. If he’s able to develop, he’s going to end up with a ton of offers and will be able to pick the best option for him.
