In 2021, the Titans had a successful season as far as most fans would believe. By the end of the year, they finished with a 9-5 record, with 2 of these losses coming within their own region. Specifically, these losses came to Calhoun, and Cartersville High School. Regardless of these shortcomings, Blessed Trinity still managed to play their way up to the fourth round of the playoffs, in which they fell to Calhoun High School in a final score of 24-7. As next season approaches, we fully expect the Titans to be back in the playoffs, with a chance at the state championship.
Justice Haynes Justice Haynes 5'10" | 205 lbs | RB Buford | 2023 State GA (RB)
Haynes will be approaching his last season for the Titans this year, and likely, he will be narrowing down his decision on where he wants to take his talents after his high school career. He is undoubtedly one of the top players in the state, and one of the best RB’s out of the entire 2023 class. Not only does he play with a very dynamic, explosive, and shifty running style, but he also plays with solid vision, feet, and balance. This ability to display, and translate all of these traits to his style of play is what makes him very sought after, and why we are excited to see how he finishes up his last year for his team. We would not be surprised if this ends up being his best season with a Titan’s uniform on.
Deldrick Franklin (LB)
Out of the entire roster of returning players for the Titans next season, we can say with certainty that Franklin is one of the most underrated players on the team. Not only does he play at a great speed, but he plays with good consistency in his movements, and athleticism. Not only does Franklin play with a good bend, but he also plays with discipline. He has a solid drop step, and his overall footwork is very consistent. When making tackles, Franklin also wraps up very well, and delivers a good pop, making it hard for opposing ball carriers to make it past him. In addition to this, Franklin is also very efficient in pursuit, and he has the pure speed, bend, and fluidity in his movement to play well in coverage.
Kieran Davis (DE)
Watching Davis play DE is quite fun for most football fans, as he not only has explosive ability off of the line, but he plays very disciplined. By this, we mean that he understands the game around him, and despite his pure athleticism, does a good job of not getting out of football character, thus sticking true to his assignments. Even though he does play with pure talent, this also allows him to make tough plays, even if it calls for him having to make tackles in pursuit, or turning the corner and using his explosiveness and speed to help him catch up to ball carriers, wrap up, and deliver a big pop and blow. With this, Davis also dips well off of the ball, and he rolls his hips well when making tackles.
Skye Richardson (OL)
When next season begins, we have no doubt that Richardson will have a great year for the Titans. As he stands at 6’5, 285 pounds, we also recognize that he plays with good speed, and an ability to block downfield, use his athleticism, and allow his feet to be a strength in his game. In doing so, he positions himself well with blocks, and gains good leverage on defenders, thus opening lanes for ball carries, or creating great pass blocking opportunities for his QB. In addition to this, Skye may lean a bit too much at times, but predominantly, he plays with a good bend, allowing him to be able to properly handle blocks, rather than catch defenders. While he may be a bit raw in the way he rolls his hips on contact and uses his hands at time, we also recognize that there is plenty of room for growth, in which we are excited to see next year.
