This is part 2 of a multi-part series.
Austin Guest | 5’11 | Creekview
Guest did not start for Creekview this past year, but he still saw some meaningful snaps at the varsity level. In 2022, Guest is set to take over as the full-time starter. When mentioning 2025 QBs in Georgia, Guest is a name that is almost always mentioned, and for good reason. He has been on the radar since 8th grade, where he helped lead his team to a championship. He showed all the intangibles from an early age and is starting to prove his worth on the field. As a passer, Guest has one of the best deep balls you will see on film. He also has the ability to mix up arm angles and throw off-platform. Can sometimes force some throws, but he has a strong enough arm to do so. Where he really sets himself apart is his playmaking ability with his legs. Most of his varsity action last year was in the designed run game, where he showed a unique combination of finesse and power. Guest is a true dual-threat QB who has yet to start reaching his potential. Because of that, he is someone who should start to become a household name in Georgia.

Marcus Romain | 6’0 | Wheeler
Romain is one of the few freshman QBs in Georgia to start all season on varsity. When you turn on the tape, it is evident why. He is a bonafide playmaker who can hurt the defense in many ways. Extremely mobile QB who can do some damage in the option and designed QB run game. He extends plays with his legs, but he always keeps his eyes downfield and is trying to make a throw. Very rarely is he running in circles waiting for something to develop, he protects the football and doesn’t force anything. As a passer, Romain shows some nice fundamentals in the pocket and has some nice velocity on his throws. Can put the ball on a rope and place it into tight windows. Has some nice touch on his deep ball when he stands tall in the pocket. All in all, Romain is always in control of the game and is one of the best playmakers in the 2025 class. With continued development, he should turn into a very intriguing QB prospect.

Christian Langford | East Coweta
Langford spent his freshman season at Westlake before transferring to East Coweta. With East Coweta’s leading passer Daniel Shoch Daniel Shoch 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Selinsgrove | 2022 GA headed for Mercer, Langford should be right in the middle of the QB battle as we head into spring. For some reason, Langford sometimes goes unmentioned when talking about 2025 QBs in Georgia. Why? I am not sure. He is a truly complete package at the QB position. He is a quick and decisive decision-maker with a good arm and fundamentals in the pocket. His quick release and arm strength allow him to pick apart defenses. Langford also happens to be an incredible athlete. So much so, that he sometimes lines up on special teams to run downfield and make tackles. That athleticism also allows him to make plays outside the pocket and threaten defenses with his legs. Due to his athleticism and potential, he is certainly a prospect to keep an eye on.

I heard that “it’s SWEET over at Westlake this year.” I beg to differ! Westlake is in good hands with these young gunnas! I’m telling y’all right now about Freshman QB @C5daG this kid is better than advertised! Here some highlights from the younger guys from last night! 🌿👀🌿 pic.twitter.com/Pk2UNzG5bE

CJ Franklin CJ Franklin 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Archer | 2025 GA | 5’11 | Grayson
Franklin is one of the few 2025 QBs that I have seen in person. I saw up close how smart and decisive of a QB he is. You might find a QB that is more athletic or have a stronger arm, but it will be hard to find one that possesses the same intangibles as Franklin. As a passer, Franklin shows great anticipation and timing on all his throws. He is able to throw his receivers open and place the ball where only his guy can catch it. Franklin is definitely more of a threat with his arm than with his legs, but he is fast enough to move the pocket and keep the defense honest. Franklin will be in contention to start for Grayson this fall, which would be huge for his development. From when I first saw Franklin on film to now, he has steadily continued improving. Once he ties everything together, he has all the traits of a very successful QB.

Brayden Gay | 6’0 | Perry
Gay is another prospect that goes fairly unmentioned when talking about Georgia QBs. He is definitely still raw, but he possesses the tools and traits to be a really good QB once he ties everything together. As a passer, he is very fundamentally sound and has a strong arm. Is best picking apart defenses in the short and intermediate game. He is also able to throw off platform and on the run without sacrificing any downfield accuracy. He could add some more touch to his deep ball, but he still has plenty of arm strength to make that throw and many others. As a runner. he runs the option game well and presents a big enough threat with his legs to keep the defense honest. Gay should be in the mix to take over at QB for Perry this fall, so keep an eye on him this upcoming season.
