Today we are going to take a look at some defensive backs that have not yet been covered by Prep RedZone Arkansas. You can be sure this will be a group of players you hear more about over the next few years.
Omarion Robinson Omarion Robinson 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Little Rock Parkview | 2025 State AR -Little Rock Parkview-6’0” 175-Pounds
Robinson is a prospect that will be easy to identify over the next few years. The Parkview safety is a playmaker in the secondary and has a nose for the football. Robinson does a great job of tracking the ball in the air and picking off the pass. The Parkview coaching staff does a fantastic job of lining Robinson up all over the field. He uses his speed well in pass coverage and he is not afraid to move up and make a tackle. Robinson has the potential to play on Saturdays, but until then he is going to terrorize opponents on Friday nights.
Marcus Wimberly Marcus Wimberly 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Bauxite | 2025 State AR -Bauxite-6’1” 170-Pounds
The Bauxite safety has terrific speed, and he uses it well to make opposing quarterbacks miserable. What will make scouts take notice of Wimberly is just how versatile of a player the young man is. The Miners coaching staff can align Wimberly all over the field. Wimberly has the hands to pick off passes and take it back the other direction. He is a prospect that reads the plays well and can get into the defensive backfield. Wimberly is going to be a prospect that college coaches are going to enjoy scouting he can play all over the field.
Jonathan Frost Jonathan Frost 5'9" | 150 lbs | DB Maumelle | 2025 State AR -Bryant-5’9” 150-Pounds
Frost is a defensive back that does an excellent job of making plays on the ball. He will outwork the opposing wide receiver in getting to the ball and either batting it away or picking off the pass. The Bryant defensive back does not give up on a play and does a good job of fending off blocks to make the tackle. The aggressive style that Frost uses against opposing wide receivers will serve him well over the next few years. He is going to be a player to watch out for over the next few years.
Curtis Barrow Jr. Curtis Barrow Jr. 5'7" | 150 lbs | DB Monticello | 2025 State AR -Monticello-5’5” 130-Pounds
The Monticello defensive back is a prospect that posses excellent speed. Barrow is a versatile football player that the Monticello coaching staff lines up all over the football field. He has the hands to haul in passes and he has the athletic ability to go up and catch the football. Barrow does an impressive job at making the tackle and bringing down the ball carrier. The speed and playmaking ability that Barrow has are going to be traits that light up Friday nights over the next few years.
Dawson Birmingham Dawson Birmingham 5'9" | 170 lbs | DB Fayetteville | 2025 State AR -Fayetteville-5’9” 170-Pounds
Birmingham is going to be a player to watch over the next few years for the Bulldogs. He has good range and is always around the football. He is a prospect that does not shy away from contact, and he will not give up on a play. Birmingham does a good job of moving up to stuff the rushing lanes. The Bulldogs always have a deep roster and Birmingham has the potential to do some big things in Fayetteville over the next few years.
