Mj Campbell Mj Campbell 6'0" | 230 lbs | DL Decatur Central | 2024 State IN – Decatur Central – DE/OLB – 6’0″ 230 lbs
Campbell is a fairly explosive player who gains more confidence as the game goes on. He’s very physical at the point of attack and likes to use his hands. He’s got a powerful punch and has the speed to get around the corner. He’s fairly flexible and can bend around the edge as well. Campbell is explosive enough to shoot through gaps and make plays in the backfield. He’s got fantastic closing speed and once he commits, he’s going to make the play. He typically lines up on the ball at the end around the 7 and 9 techs. He’s great at setting the edge and is able to shed his guy to the gap where the ball carrier is and make the play. He’s got the speed to cover sideline to sideline at LB as well. He doesn’t drop back into coverage very often, but when he does he’s able to run with his guy. His footwork and eyes could use some work but that stuff comes with reps and time. Campbell is a true 6’0″ and 230 lbs but looks a bit thicker than that. He’s got a frame that he could easily put 20-30 pounds of muscle on in college if puts the work in. My expectation is that Campbell will be recruited primarily as a DE. He’s too explosive to go on the inside and he could play LB, but I think he’s best around the LOS. He also knows that when he doesn’t reach home to get his hands up. He’s been able to bat down a few balls and give his guys opportunities to come down with it. Overall, I think Campbell is raw but explosive enough that schools are going to be excited. Where he lands is TBD but if he puts the work in and continues to develop, Campbell has the chance to be one of the better DE’s in the state.
Nehemiah Dau Nehemiah Dau 6'0" | 210 lbs | LB Ben Davis | 2024 State IN – Ben Davis – LB – 5’11″ 197 lbs
Dau is a raw prospect who checks pretty much every box you could want. He’s listed at 197lbs but he looks a bit thicker than that. He plays patient and trusts his eyes and what he sees. He’s got decent speed and is typically able to cover sideline to sideline. Once he commits to a play he isn’t going to back down. He typically takes a good angle and isn’t going to be beat around the edge. Once he gets his hands on the ball carrier, they’re going to end up on the ground. He’s got a very strong upper body and is able to throw around some smaller ball carriers. When he drops back in coverage, in zone coverage he’s fine. He does his job and keeps his eyes where they need to be. In man coverage, he needs some work with footwork and being able to play the ball. I will also say there are times when he looks a little stiff when he’s coming downhill. He also has been decently coached on keeping his feet moving and never standing flat-footed. He’s always ready to react and won’t be caught standing around. I would like to see him continue to bulk up and put some muscle on. If so, he’ll start manhandling just about everyone he comes across. If he’s able to and he keeps working on his craft, Dau has the potential to develop into one of the most desirable LBs in the state.
Anthony Boswell Anthony Boswell 6'3" | 220 lbs | OL Ben Davis | 2024 State IN – Ben Davis – T/G – 6’3″ 221 lbs
Boswell is a very lengthy lineman who is only getting better. Right now, he’s still a bit on the slender side but that’s going to improve with time. He has the frame to be a proper 275-300lbs by the time he graduates if wants it. He’s naturally very strong and in the running game likes to finish with his guy on the ground. Just like most young linemen, he’s better in the run game right now. He’s able to move his guys off the ball and finish with a pancake. In the passing game, I feel like he’s got some work to do. He has the power and size to be able to set the edge if he moves to tackle. There are times he’ll get caught reaching and off-balance. His footwork could also use cleaned up as he crosses his feet from time to time. He typically does a good job keeping his hands inside and won’t get caught holding. As a sophomore, he bounced around and started in a few different spots up front. He’s versatile and smart enough to be able to jump around if he needs to. He does a lot of things well naturally and if the right OL coach gets his hands on him, Boswell can be special. How far he goes is up to him and how hard he works. He has the size, strength, and raw ability to be successful at the next level. By the time he graduates, if he continues to develop, Boswell will end up being able to pick through a plethora of offers and find the best fit for him.
Antonio Harris Antonio Harris 6'0" | 185 lbs | ATH Castle | 2024 State IN – Castle – WR/RB – 6’0″ 170 lbs
Harris is really fun to watch. He’s fast, twitchy, and knows how to get open. He definitely feels a little bit taller than 6’0″ but it might be partially due to his ability to jump. He’s able to get full speed in 2 strides and doesn’t have very much wasted movement. He launches almost immediately and drives off his back foot and rolls off his front foot. He knows when to stick his foot in the ground and make an aggressive cut. I will say, right before he cuts, he has a tell. He does the head bob. I’d love to see him work on hard looking in the opposite direction right before he cuts. It’s another tool and drill he could add that will add to his ability to create separation. He’s able to run the full route tree but it could use some work and cleaning up. He runs a very nice screen route and once he gets the ball in his hands he turns into an RB. He’s going to make an effort to pick up YAC. When he’s in the open field, he’s much more likely to make a guy miss than to run through him. Harris has soft hands and won’t drop the ball. He watches it all the way in and uses both hands. Sounds simple, and it is, but Harris has it down naturally and it likely won’t ever become an issue. If you get the ball in his area, he’s going to layout and make an effort. I think in college, Harris could be looked at as a Slot WR. I say that because of his twitchy ability, his ability to get open, and read coverages while giving 110% effort on the ball. He’s a willing blocker in the running game and gives the same effort as if he was getting the ball. I would like to see him put on some muscle during the rest of his high school career. There is a ton to like with Harris and what he can be. By the time he graduates, if Harris is able to develop and stay on the path he’s on, he’ll be a highly sought-after recruit in Indiana.
