One of the first things that stood out on Rigsby’s film is the 1st step quicks he brings as he gets off the ball in a dang hurry with impressive pad level. Really seems to understand leverage as he fires off low time and time again. This mixed with the explosive quicks and physicality seems to really catch offensive lineman off guard and allows him to get into their body putting him in the advantage right off the snap. He has a solid build to his frame with a powerfully built lower half with great length on his arms and plenty of room to add mass in his upper body. Shows he can line up in different techniques as you see him line up all over the defensive front for Woodville. He also plays basketball and it shows on film with how light on his feet he is showing good balance, agility and solid speed. An athletic kid who isn’t just looking to over power opposing offensive lineman as you see him set up one OL with a jab step and swim, see him flip his hips to get skinny for a TFL and also shows he can dip his shoulder to get under a block and chase down the quarterback for a sack. His motor also shows up on film as you see him get down the line to make a stop or chase plays down field.
He flashes some pop in his hands and ability to create extension on some clips but relies more so on his explosiveness and size at this point that is just too much for the competition he faces. Would like to see him continue to develop his technique with his hands more his SR year. With the versatility he brings with the physical traits and size he possesses, could be a 4i in a 3/4, a 3T in a 4/3 or could even see him as a SDE in a 4/3 as well. The biggest obstacle for him to overcome is he plays 3A competition but showed he can be dominant at that level, which is what you want to see. If he can get out to some camps in-front of some college coaches this off-season I think he could really see his stock take off. Either way, he currently holds a Sam Houston State offer but seeing his film and then seeing his ability to get off the ground in the tweet below, I see obvious Power 5 potential here.

Tim Muhammad – DE/OLB – Garland, TX (Garland) – 6’4″/225:

Length on length is what you see with Muhammad with a lean frame that you can mold at the next level. Even though he is lean at this time though he flashes impressive strength at the point of attack showing the ability to set the edge with ease bench pressing bigger offensive lineman off his body and easy shed ability. The hand usage he brings shows up repeatedly rather it’s a heavy punch knocking lineman off-balance or seeing him rip underneath to get lineman’s hands off his frame. Like the awareness he shows as well to get up in passing lane’s with the length he brings doing this multiple times on film.
A few clips to point out that show some of the athleticism he brings, one being the tweet below where again his heavy hands show up getting the lineman off his body then flashing some bend to get the corner for the strip sack. Second would be in the 2nd tweet below where again, heavy hands but then gets down the line on the screen and shows he can stick his foot in the ground and fluidly change directions to make the tackle on the WR in space. Lot to like about this young man’s game.

Lance Carson – DT/DE – Frico, TX (Frisco) – 6’4″/260:

Carson brings a great looking frame to work with man. Looks every bit the 6’4″/260 he is listed at with length and looks like he could be 290 in no time at the next level. Frame wise he makes you think of DL you see in the SEC. This kid really flashes on film as he shows he can stay low off the ball and fire those hands inside to gain leverage but then has the strength/power to drive bigger lineman backwards to reset the line of scrimmage. But then has the ability to shed and make the tackle. Even on one play vs SOC as the nose where he is at a big size advantage vs their bigger LG, you see the strength he brings at the POA to not give up much ground at all despite his hand slipping off the blocker and still gets over to make the play. Love his versatility as you see him at the 0, 1, 3, and the 5 technique and is effective at each vs solid competition in 5A Texas football. Just no fun to block especially vs the run at this point.
Flashes a nice burst as a rusher, ability to plant and change directions along with impressive speed while in pursuit but would like to see more of him as a pass rusher to know how developed his game is there. Be that as it may, with the frame he brings, strength he already possesses and athleticism he flashes, this kid really has scary potential and versatility to work with. He is one that could get out to some camps this off-season and blow up so remember the name. Definitely one I want to see live next season to see how much bigger and more developed his game has got.
