The players rankings were recently updated by the staff.  There were 17 linebackers in the group for updates.  This is a two-part series where I am going to review the entire group.  Series 2 will cover the remainder of linebackers for review. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="45006" first="Angus" last="Weaver"], 5’10" 195, Polk Co. HS, (No. 10 LB, No. 66 Overall)</strong>.  Angus displays good technique on solo tackles.  He covers ground quickly to close in on the ball carrier to make the stop.  Angus finished the season with 120 total tackles and 21 tackles for losses.  He plays on both sides of the ball.  Angus is a threat on offense, rushed for 1,186 yards and 11 TDs.  He will continue to improve his skill set during off-season training.  [player_tooltip player_id="45006" first="Angus" last="Weaver"]’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="104095" first="Brayden" last="Manley"], 6’2" 230, West Craven HS, (No. 11LB, No. 82 Overall)</strong>.  Brayden displays patience to let the play develop.  He reacts quickly to the play to make the stop.  Brayden displays good technique on physical solo tackles in the open field.  He finished the season with 13 total tackles and runs well in the open field.  Brayden will continue to improve his skill set during off-season.  [player_tooltip player_id="104095" first="Brayden" last="Manley"]’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="144926" first="Cahari" last="Haynes"], 6’2" 205, Burns HS, (No. 12 LB, No. 94 Overall)</strong>.  Cahari reacts quickly to the play for stops.  He displays good technique on physical tackles.  Cahari displays explosive bursts of speed to get him into the backfield for tackles for losses.  He finished the season with 101 total tackles and 18 tackles for losses.  Cahari will continue to improve his skill set during the off-season.  [player_tooltip player_id="144926" first="Cahari" last="Haynes"]’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="144717" first="Gabe" last="Spriggs"], 5’10" 170, Graham HS, (N0. 13 LB, No. 120 Overall)</strong>.  Gabe displays speed to move past blockers into the backfield for stops.  He displays good technique on solo tackles in the open field.  Gabe finished the season with 125 total tackles and 33 tackles for losses.  He will continue to improve his skill set during off-season training.  [player_tooltip player_id="144717" first="Gabe" last="Spriggs"]’ participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="144719" first="Ryan" last="Carter"], 6’1" 205, DH Conley HS, (No. 14 LB, No. 121 Overall)</strong>.  Ryan displays patience to let the play develop.  He reacts quickly and closes quickly on the ball carrier for the stop.  Ryan displays good technique on solo tackles in the open field.  He finished the season with 29 total tackles and 6 tackles for losses.  Ryan will continue to improve his skill set during off-season training.  [player_tooltip player_id="144719" first="Ryan" last="Carter"]’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="136068" first="Ronald" last="Wilkins"] II, 5’9" 190, Draughn HS, (No. 15 LB, No. 127 Overall)</strong>.  Ronald displays patience to let the play develop.  He reacts quickly and closes in quickly on the ball carrier for the stop.  Ronald displays good technique on solo tackles in the open field.  He moves well laterally to make stops.  Ronald finished the season with 127 total tackles (School Record), 44 assisted tackles, 12 tackles for losses, and 2 sacks.  He will continue to improve his skill set during off-season training.  [player_tooltip player_id="136068" first="Ronald" last="Wilkins"] II’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="148912" first="Alexander" last="Bailey"], 6’2" 200, Hickory Ridge HS, (No. 16 LB, No. 140 Overall)</strong>.  Alexander displays good speed and runs well in the open field.  He closes quickly on the ball carrier for the stop.  Alexander displays good lateral movement and good technique on solo tackles in the open field.  He finished the season with 19 total tackles and 2 tackles for losses.  Alexander will continue to improve his skill set during off-season training.  [player_tooltip player_id="148912" first="Alexander" last="Bailey"]’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="173283" first="Chase" last="Christopher"], 6’1" 210, Holly Springs HS, (No. 17 LB, No. 141 Overall)</strong>.  Chase displays explosive acceleration to get him into the backfield, often unblocked to make the stop.  He displays solid technique on physical tackles and follow through.  He runs well in the open field covering a lot of ground quickly to close in on the ball carrier for the stop.  Chase finished the season with 150 total tackles, to include 127 solo tackles and 23 assisted tackles, 10 sacks, and 21 tackles for losses.  The 127 Solo Tackles were the highest of any player in the 2023 class.  He will continue to improve his skill set during off-season training.  [player_tooltip player_id="173283" first="Chase" last="Christopher"]’s participation in Summer Prospect Camps will generate recruiting interest for him.
