Here we have a few other names who deservingly made it on the list by showing out on the field and being the physical players they were asked to be. All the players listed are ones to track heading into their senior years as they all have potential to blow for a major run next season. Keep eyes out for them and if we missed any let us know!
Logan Granville – Fort Bend Marshall
Granville is a long athlete with a good frame who covers much ground with his length at the end position. He does an excellent job of keeping blockers off of him using his reach. He has a quick first step on rushes and shows a a great counter move when stalled. Granville is a very good run defender and does a great job of chasing plays from the backside. Look out for him to turn it up a notch for his senior season.
Jayden Gaines – Westside
Gaines was a physical beast for his junior season. He was textbook at the point of attack, shooting his hands and knocking linemen back, and then locating the ball to make a play. Gaines showed a quick first step and loose hips with the ability to move quickly around blockers. He was excellent in pursuit and made key stops when the team needed. He is definitely a player to have on the radar heading into next season.
Hunter Jones – Stratford
Jones is a true run stopper who does a great job of continuously driving his legs. He is a powerful inside presence who slides by blocks with strong rips and make plays in the backfield with his sure tackling. Jones is a handful for offensive linemen who will only continue to get better this offseason, so keep an eye on him.
Elijah Fields Elijah Fields 6'1" | 245 lbs | DL North Shore | 2023 State TX – Spring
Fields always seemed to be in the backfield when he was on the field. He made many plays with his motor, and was a force lined up at the end or as the inside tech. Fields was good with his hands and better at the point of attack. He was strong in his initial punch and was violent when disengaging. Fields controlled the interior when he had to but was a very good pass rusher as well. He is primed for a stellar senior season.
Jarvis Butler – Lamar
Butler was fast quick and decisive with his moves and it paid off. His side step and swim move left linemen confused and his power had them stunned. Butler showed good hands and great recognition on plays, redirecting and making plays from behind. His first step off the snap is impressive and his ability to finish plays is even better. Butler will be a force next season.

Brad Spence – Klein Forest
