Out of all the offensive linemen I watched in person this season, these were the ones that stood out. All of these guys have college potential, and 2 of these guys have gotten offers from Divison II schools. Now without further ado, here are 4 of the best linemen I watched this season!
West Catholic T [player_tooltip player_id="154344" first="Kyle" last="Kloska"]
A vital part of the West Catholic offense, I didn’t see Kloska miss a block all season. His footwork was great and he’s as strong as an ox. Few OK-Blue linemen stood a chance against Kloska, and he emerged as a solid DII recruit this season. He’s a beast on the field and in the weight room, and will undoubtedly do great things over at Saginaw Valley State.
Fruitport G [player_tooltip player_id="249469" first="Richard" last="Wiggins IV"]
I’ve talked about Wiggins quite a bit, but this just goes to show how Impressed I was with his play. On a poor offensive line, Wiggins, a sophomore at the time, stood out as a diamond in the rough. Wiggins showed great leverage and poise against a Cadillac defense that just kept blitzing.
Lawton C/DT Carter Mayne
Mayne is a small school gem who was just offered by DII Michigan Tech. Lawton had some great big boys this season, part of their amazing run. Mayne is physical and fundamental, as like others on this list, the normal competition was to match for Mayne. Very interested to see what other offers Mayne may receive.
GR Catholic Central C William J. Smith III
The Catholic Central Center was great in the state championship, towering over most at 6’4" 255lbs. The DIII offers are rolling in, and no matter where he goes, he’ll have a great college career.
