In the coming weeks positional and overall rankings will be released by class. As usual size is a key variable from a projection standpoint when it comes to the line. Have a look at the state’s top 15 O lineman.
<strong>OL</strong>
.[player_tooltip player_id="205821" first="Kevin" last="Cassidy"] 6-6 250 T Mountainside- Overall Cassidy is new to the O line position but is expected to have a big off season and camp circuit. Most are aware of the genes, with father Brian Cassidy being a former All American at Stanford and projected 1st round NFL pick, before a career ending injury.
.[player_tooltip player_id="238432" first="Roice" last="Cleeland"] 6-3 270 C Jesuit- Another kid where the genes speak for themselves as the son of 9-year NFL vet Cam Cleeland. Roice is fundamentally gifted, bringing a lot to the table you can’t teach while coming from a football family. He earned 1st team all-conference and all-state honors in 21’.
.[player_tooltip player_id="206763" first="Ryan" last="Berger"] 6-5 270 Liberty- One of the fastest rising players in the state. The Co- Offensive lineman of the year in the Pacific Conference had an outstanding season and has the potential of playing a high level of collegiate ball with continued progression.
.[player_tooltip player_id="110189" first="Joe" last="Merlino"] 6-3 275 G Central Catholic- Merlino was incredibly impressive all year long on both sides of the football, earning 2nd team all-conference honors on O & D. He may end up playing on defense collegiately due to size, but had his way with the competition on the offensive front.
.[player_tooltip player_id="205817" first="Sean" last="Khouri"] 6-2 265 G- Khouri may have had the best season of any offensive lineman in Oregon, earning 1st team all-state accolades. Size is still a huge question mark when referencing projection. Regardless he is very talented and will play somewhere collegiately.
.[player_tooltip player_id="206760" first="Ryan" last="Yakovich"] 6-3 295 G Sheldon- Yakovich had a breakout year earning 2nd team All SWC accolades. He will need to have a big off season, as he has shown flashes of being similar to former Sheldon lineman Ryan Walk (6-3 290), a walk on at Oregon who earned 1st team All PAC 12 honors in 2020.
.[player_tooltip player_id="110580" first="Jake" last="Hood"] 6-4 270 T Oregon City- Another kid with good size who should help an OC program returning numerous all conference guys. Hood is still somewhat raw but broke out in the state’s toughest conference, impressing against top competition.
.[player_tooltip player_id="147246" first="Camden" last="Ferguson"] 6-3 280 G Lakeridge- The Pacers bring back a bunch of talented perimeter kids. As of right now the 1st team All TRL returner projects as one of the more talented lineman to come through the school in recent years.
.[player_tooltip player_id="270081" first="Beau" last="CressAllen"] 6-4 255 T Central Catholic- Not a lot of people know about CressAllen yet, but he had a phenomenal year earning honorable mention all-conference accolades, and helping his team to the state title. He has good size and will be pursued by numerous high end academic universities (4.0 GPA).
.[player_tooltip player_id="271384" first="Daniel" last="Thomas"] 6-4 275 T Roseburg- Thomas has great size and had a good season earning 2nd team All SWC honors, for a Roseburg group that finished (9-2) after losing 10 straight the season previous. Expect multiple schools to show up and watch him along with SWC POY [player_tooltip player_id="205815" first="Tiger" last="Black"].
.[player_tooltip player_id="270088" first="Sylus" last="Wallace"] 6-2 300 G Jesuit- Another kid who had an outstanding year earning 2nd team all-state accolades. The big man is a force up front and could be a difference maker for what looks to be the state’s top O line next year.
.[player_tooltip player_id="110244" first="David" last="Fuiava"] 6-2 290 G North Medford- One of the top lineman in the state for his class. He is tough and fundamentally sound. That said as it becomes a size thing if we are talking projection.
.[player_tooltip player_id="258434" first="Trent" last="Hodney"] 6-2 275 G/T Sherwood- Fundamentally few are better as he had one of the best seasons of any lineman state wide. A lot is yet to be determined with the Co-Offensive lineman of the year in the Pacific Conference projecting as more of a center collegiately.
.[player_tooltip player_id="110214" first="Elijah" last="Markowitz"] 6-2 300 G Liberty- Pound for pound one of the strongest and most impressive lineman in Oregon. He earned 1st team all-conference honors as a junior but collegiately may be limited due to size.
tie.[player_tooltip player_id="270209" first="Drew" last="Corcoran"] 6-3 250 G/T Tualatin- One of the more versatile lineman in the state. Corcoran earned 2nd team all-conference honors on both sides of the football, and will be the leader up front, on what should once again be one of the top teams in the state at the 6A level.
tie.[player_tooltip player_id="270082" first="Reese" last="Hare"] 6-4 245 T Tigard- Hare has a chance to be a 1st team all-state type kid next year, with legit size and an impressive supportive cast returning. He had a good season earning 2nd team All TRL accolades in 21’.
