In the coming weeks positional and overall rankings will be released by class. Per usual all rankings are based on who projects highest at the collegiate level. Have a look at the state’s top 12 ATH's..
ATH
.[player_tooltip player_id="110180" first="Mark" last="Hamper"] 6-2 200 West Linn- Hamper will be a conference and state POY favorite on both sides of the football next season. He earned 1st team all-league honors on O & D going for close to 1300 all-purpose and 12 TDs offensively, along with 42 total tackles and 5 INTs on defense.
.[player_tooltip player_id="110179" first="Drew" last="Rodriguez"] 6-2 195 Sprague- Rodriguez was the PRZ Underclassmen of the Year on D and projects as a D1 Safety. That being said as he earned 1st team all-conference honors on both sides of the football and was one of the top WRs state wide, returning multiple kicks and INTs for TDs as well.
.[player_tooltip player_id="206757" first="Tini" last="Tinitali III"]- 6-0 180 South Salem- This kid is legit. He led the state of Oregon in receptions (78) and finished 2nd in total receiving yards with 1,040. His abilities after the catch are real as you can expect multiple universities to be vying for his services.
.[player_tooltip player_id="110174" first="Kaden" last="Huppin"] 5-11 175 Westview- Huppin tests off the charts but has had limited opportunities thus far with the likes of D1 athletes [player_tooltip player_id="28833" first="Darrius" last="Clemons"], [player_tooltip player_id="28834" first="Aaron" last="Jones"] and [player_tooltip player_id="143912" first="Drew" last="Bennett"] on the field. Expect him to have a monster off season and senior campaign after averaging 17 yards per catch with 3 TDs in 2021.
.Milan Clark 6-0 180 Grant- Clark has a high ceiling earning 1st & 2nd team all-league honors last fall. He plays with unique anticipation and the aggressiveness necessary to compete at a high collegiate level.
.[player_tooltip player_id="147250" first="Brayde" last="Owen"] 6-1 185 Gladstone- A 4A POY Candidate in the state of Oregon. Owen is a phenomenal overall athlete and can play 4-5 different positions on the field. Expect a big year on the 7v7 circuit as part of Team Lillard.
.[player_tooltip player_id="110216" first="Zach" last="McEwen"] 5-10 165 Sheldon- One of the more exciting kids to watch in the state in my opinion, especially when in space. On the season he caught 40 passes for 533 yards and 7 TDs, also racking up close to 400 kick return yards. Look for an all-state type Senior campaign.
.[player_tooltip player_id="110237" first="Keontae" last="Johnson-Gibson"] 5-11 165 Clackamas- Much like his brother Keontae is a super talented overall athlete. He was primarily a defensive presence but expect him to be a threat on the offense and special teams moving forward.
.[player_tooltip player_id="206766" first="Jeray" last="Mott"] 6-0 160 Jefferson- Mott had a breakout year racking up 1st team All PIL DB accolades. Expect to see him be a big contributor, and help put points on the board, for a Jeff team who was much improved as the year progressed last season.
.[player_tooltip player_id="147867" first="Alisjah" last="Tucker"] 6-0 170 Southridge- Tucker earned all-conference honors as a Sophomore and followed that up nicely again this year for a Skyhawks team that struggled (1-8). Tucker’s versatility is his primary asset, playing 3-4 positions including QB if necessary.
.Isaac Peters 5-11 165 Sheldon-Peters earned 2nd team all conference honors on both sides of the football, averaging 24.8 yards per catch, with limited receptions (8). Look for him to play a vital role on what should be a Top 10 Irish group next year.
.Koffi Kouame 5-8 185 West Linn- Kouame primarily played RB for the Lions carrying the ball 50 times on the year, and averaging 7.5 ypc with 2 TDs. With his size I like in him space and also as a return man which is why he is listed as an ATH.
