Offers and Commitments to Pay Attention To

The last week of January and beginning of February is a busy time of year when it comes to the recruiting cycle in college football. Over the past week, we have seen a number of offers go out to numerous talented prospects in the Natural State. We are going to look at a number of prospects that have received scholarship offers and placed commitments over the past few days. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="117769" first="Marion" last="Slater"]-Linebacker-Rogers-2022</strong> The talented Rogers Mountie linebacker committed to Arkansas Tech on Tuesday afternoon of this week. Slater is a prospect that plays with impressive speed and is always around the ball carrier. The Arkansas Tech coaching staff has done an excellent job of recruiting inside of the state of Arkansas and the addition of Slater will give them a linebacker that plays well in all phases on the defensive side of the ball. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75120" first="Jordan" last="Jackson"]-Wide Receiver-White Hall-2022</strong> The White Hall playmaking wide receiver placed his commitment to Arkansas Tech a few days ago. Jackson is a player that can take it the distance from anywhere on the field. He has a knack for making key receptions at important times and will fit in well at Arkansas Tech. Jackson’s 6’3” frame will give his quarterback a nice target in the red zone. Congratulations go out to Jordan his commitment and good luck at Arkansas Tech. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75081" first="Austin" last="Myers"]-Quarterback-Vilonia-2022</strong> Congratulations go out to Myers on placing his commitment with the Central Arkansas Bears. The athletic Myers has had an impressive career with Vilonia and will keep his talents close to home with Central Arkansas. He has a quick release and has no problem fitting the football into tight windows. Myers is not afraid to throw the deep ball, meanwhile, he will also check the ball down to his running back. Central Arkansas got a quarterback that can run the offense and light up the opposition on Saturdays. <strong>Quincey Rhodes Jr.-Linebacker-Jacksonville-2023</strong> The Jacksonville junior linebacker has exploded on to the scene over the past few months. Rhodes Jr. plays with excellent speed and is always around the ball carrier. He is a player that can completely disrupt both the run and the passing attacks of the opposing offense. It has been a busy few weeks for Rhodes Jr. He picked up scholarship offers from bot the Arkansas Razorbacks and Deion Sanders coached Jackson State University. Rhodes Jr. is a player to watch out for over the next few months, scouts have noticed what he can do, and he is going to have a busy time. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="75105" first="Bladen" last="Fike"]-Quarterback-Fayetteville-2022</strong> The Fayetteville senior quarterback already possessed a scholarship offer from Middle Tennessee State University. Earlier this week he added an offer from UT-Martin. Fike is a quarterback that make all the throws needed to run an offense. He is an extremely accurate passer and able to fit the ball into some tight windows. The college program that signs Fike will get an intense competitor that will not force throws and makes good decisions with the football. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="135257" first="Brady" last="Porter"]-Defensive Line-Rogers-2022</strong> The Rogers Mounties defensive end has had a busy couple of weeks over the past two weeks. Porter explodes out of the stance and gets into the offensive backfield. Porter picked up an offer from McPherson College over the weekend. However, Porter was not done there. The talented defensive end received an offer from Kentucky Wesleyan on Wednesday and placed his commitment with Kentucky Wesleyan. Porter is another player with the potential to do big things on Saturdays. More recruiting news will be updated on Saturday.
