As the second signing period inches closer, we decided to move forward and look at some of the top young prospects from around the state of Missouri. To me, Missouri is one of the more under-recruited states in the country and consistently has a strong cast of talent. These youngsters have already made a name for themselves and should only see their stock rise this spring. Here's who to know!

RB: [player_tooltip player_id="263502" first="Ryver" last="Peppers"], 5’11", 165, Fort Osage
Oustanding contact balance to go with breakaway speed. Peppers can stick his toe in the ground and bounce a run to the perimeter if you don't set the edge. He displayed fantastic vision and will get skinny through small holes to spark a chunk play. He's silky smooth when transitioning during his cuts and can easily navigate his way through traffic.

RB: [player_tooltip player_id="179179" first="Justin" last="Thurman"], 6’, 175, De Smet
An electric return man who can make defenders miss in the open field. Thurman is a dominant outside zone runner who knows how to read the end man on the line of scrimmage. He's a true three-down back that showed some soft hands out of the backfield. This young man was dominant at the lower levels as a freshman and should make an immediate impact at the varsity level next fall.

DE: [player_tooltip player_id="179189" first="Keylan" last="LaGrant"], 6’3", 210, St. Peters
A terrific get-off to go with a non-stop motor. Keylan already looks the part and has a frame he'll easily be able to add thirty-forty pounds to over the next few years. He fires off the ball with a low pad level like a missile and uses heavy hands to defeat blocks in the run game. LaGrant is relentless as a pass rusher and uses pure speed & bend to defeat opposing tackles off the edge.

RB: Travon Pankey, 6’1", 180, Oak Park
A tough runner that keeps his feet moving on contact. Pankey is a violent ball carrier who looks to deliver punishing blows on opposing tacklers that get in his way. He has the balance of a ballerina and is a more than willing blocker in the run game. He effortlessly runs through arm tackles, and his speed will not waver when doing so.

WR: [player_tooltip player_id="177938" first="Isaiah" last="Mozee"], 6’, 170, Lees Summit North
A nifty runner with the ball in his hands who quickly gets north and south after hauling in a reception. Mozee is awfully effective on all three levels of the field and is someone you have to lock onto in the scramble drill. He has sticky hands in traffic and can create explosive plays in the run or pass game. He should be a four-star type of talent when it's all said and done.
