This is due to the fact that they have not only won plenty of games, but they have produced great talent along the way. Below, you will see some of their top returners next season, who we believe will help lead them to another successful, and winning record. Feel free to take some time to watch their film if you have an extra moment. We doubt you will be disappointed.
Caleb Downs Caleb Downs 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB Mill Creek | 2023 State GA – S
Not only is Downs the best Safety in the state of Georgia, but he is easily one of the best players in the entire 2023 class. Not only does he play with great range, but he also has the physicality that you want to see out of a player his age. This fact is a direct correlation to the reasons in which the top programs in the entire country are attempting to recruit him for the next level. He has good footwork, stellar hips, and great speed and stride. This will translate incredibly to the next level, but for now, we look forward to seeing his contributions next season for the Hawks
Hayden Clark- QB
Junior QB, Hayden Clark, will be returning for his senior year in 2022, and will likely be a big part of any offensive success that the Hawks will have. He will be coming off of a successful year in which he threw for over 2,000 yards, and 19 TD’s. This came with only 7 interceptions, in which Clark will likely want to be able to cut down even more next season. As Clark returns next season, the Hawks can be confident that they have a leader under center who is confident, and comfortable with the team’s offense, and has the ability to operate and play with key playmakers on the team. In 2021, the offense put up 474 points throughout their entire season. If this is any indicator of the future, there is plenty of positive things in store next year.
Cameron Robinson- ATH
Next season will prove to be a big year for Robinson, who happens to be a young, 2024 prospect. While he is a bit smaller in height, he carries his weight well, and does not have a problem playing both sides of the ball. On offense, he has played out of the backfield, but has also lined up as a WR. This is due to his ability to catch the ball, but also turn the ball up field when handed the rock. His balance, vision, and strength allow for him to be able to plow through, and gain extra yards. On the defensive side of the ball, he plays with the same intensity, as he is great at coming downhill to lower his shoulder, and bring opposing players to the ground. Due to this ability to be a game changer, including in special teams, we fully believe he is going to be one of the best returning players for Mill Creek next season.
Jamal Anderson- LB
Anderson is one of the more talented defensive players on the Hawks roster. Next season, not only will he be able to continue to build on top of his success, and playing time he saw in 2021, but he will be able to pair this with Khai Green, who is without a doubt one of the top leaders on the Hawk’s defense. Next season, expect his production in tackles and sacks to continue to climb. In 2021, he totaled 78 total tackles, and 4 sacks, making him a key contributor for his team.
Khai Greene- LB
Khai Greene, who may be a bit less known statewide compared to the above prospects, will be returning next season, and will most likely be ushered into a more important role on the varsity level, with more playing time. As a backer, he will likely take on more time in the middle, and will be key to assisting Jamal Anderson in stopping the run, including along the sidelines. His frame, weight, and strength will likely translate well as the Hawks match up against bigger backs. Look for him to break out next season if he takes the right steps this offseason to grow, and develop into his ability to play against some of the top competition in the state.
