The group has displayed some serious potential and features two current prospects with FBS offers (Jordan Marshall & Tanelle Rose). Look for the group as a whole to take an even bigger step forward in 2022 and post some gaudy stats for their respective programs. Here’s who to know!
Marquise Hall, 5’10”, 175, Padua Franciscan
A shifty scatback that can spot a cutback from a mile away. Hall changes direction with relative ease and can stick his toe in the dirt & make tacklers look silly at the third level. He displayed a tough running style between the tackles and a mean jump cut.
Tanelle Rose, 6′, 185, Brush
A smooth long strider who can get north and south quickly. Rose is a patient runner who lets his blocks set up before shifting the turbos on. He calmly sidesteps opposing tacklers and has the balance to stay on his feet in traffic.
Diore Hubbard, 5’10”, 175, Gahanna Lincoln
A big play machine who sliced and diced opposing defenses in 2021. Hubbard has a good feel for the cutback and showed strong hands out of the backfield. He knows when to bounce a run if a defender wrong arms and has the speed to break a long run.
Dane Nauman, 6′, 215, Highland
A powerful runner that is deadly between the tackles. Dane showed outstanding burst and a ferocious running style in traffic. He constantly keeps his feet moving on first contact and will lower his shoulder to finish off runs. He even has a surprisingly big catch radius for a running back.
Tofa Luani, 6’2″, 235, Milford
A bruiser of a back who could likely have a future at linebacker as well. Tofa mashes his way through contact with excessive knee drive and a mauling stiff arm. He’s not a burner but more than makes up for it with strength and body control.
Jordan Marshall, 5’11”, 185, Archbishop Moeller
An explosive back that has the speed to outrun defensive backs with angles on him. He’s extremely calm in the screen game and lets everything set up in front of him before accelerating into top gear. He’s decisive on outside zone runs and will get to the perimeter in an instant if his read takes him there. To me, he’s the state’s best back in the 2024 class and could be a four-star type talent.
