More Athletes! These are the guys who don’t fit neatly into a box. They’re versatile, and oftentimes the MVPs of the team. Now, let’s look at #6 - #10 in the 2024 ATH rankings.
#6 [player_tooltip player_id="188035" first="Parker" last="Kennedy III"] (#43 overall)
A rising star, Kennedy is a great WR/DB talent. After an injury stint, Kennedy is back and ready to hit the ground running with offseason work. With immense talent surrounding him on Southfield A&T, I expect Kennedy to be sharpened and 100% ready to go by the summer. If anything, I see Kennedy working his way up the rankings.
#7 [player_tooltip player_id="188036" first="Joshua" last="Martinez"] (#65 overall)
Look out, Martinez could be one that skyrockets the rankings next season. With a brother at Michigan State, while playing at the same school as Andrel Anthony, the sky seems to be the limit for Martinez. His 4.6 40-yard dash time is fast enough to outrun most in the state, while his ability to apply big hits of defense makes him a unique DB.
#8 [player_tooltip player_id="253296" first="Kyle" last="Robbins"] (#72 overall)
Robbins meant more to his team than perhaps any other athlete on this list. It’s eye-opening when you see any athlete perform as well as Robbins on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he’s mainly an SB that is a very hard runner, and surprisingly elusive. Defensively, he was an excellent DB able to break up passes left and right while being a sound tackler. The archetype for a Seaholm football player is strong as an ox and athletic as Jared Goff, but Robbins has it all. He’s also shaping out to be a great baseball prospect.
#9 [player_tooltip player_id="253271" first="Ali" last="Hammoud"] (#76 overall)
Hammoud is set to start as Fordson’s WR, DB, and Kicker. A rare 3-way player, Hammoud is another one of those guys I can see shooting up the rankings just because of how versatile he is. He can be seen kicking field goals from 40+ yards out while being a ball hawk DB and running great routes at receiver. I am very excited to see Hammoud play more on the varsity level.
#10 [player_tooltip player_id="253197" first="Gavin" last="Noonan"] (#79 overall)
Playing in the Lakes Valley league for Walled Lake Western, Noonan is developing into a great DB as well as a great SB. I’m very impressed by his overall defensive IQ and instincts, as he’s able to make some interceptions and pass breakups because of his positioning. Offensively, he’s a well-rounded player who is elusive with above-average speed for his position.
