Trust us when we say these guys could climb in the rankings by the time the next cycle of rankings comes around.
Here is a look at some early nominations for the All Hands Team.
Eli Merck Eli Merck 6'1" | 180 lbs | WR DW Daniel | 2023 State SC / Jaylen Brown-Wallace Jaylen Brown-Wallace 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Daniel | 2023 State SC , Daniel
Add athlete Misun Kelly to this group and Daniel might feature the most talented group of receivers in the state. Merck had 74 receptions for 1,034 yards and 15 touchdowns this past season. Brown-Wallace was next with 58 catches for 958 yards and 11 scores. Merck has gone over 1,000 yards the last two seasons.
Zion Agnew Zion Agnew 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR Ridge View | 2023 State SC / Chris Lawson Chris Lawson 6'1" | 175 lbs | WR Ridge View | 2023 State SC , Ridge View
Agnew is beginning to garner a lot of recruiting interest and it’s well-deserved. The shifty receiver is coming off a year in which he caught 65 passes for 1,030 yards and 12 touchdowns. Lawson was the Blazers second leading receiver with 40 receptions for 673 yards and five scores.
Elijah Caldwell Elijah Caldwell 6'1" | 190 lbs | WR Northwestern | 2023 State SC , Northwestern
Caldwell has proven to be the Trojans go-to wide receiver in their Air Raid attack. Last year, he caught 77 passes for 1,247 yards and 15 touchdowns. He’s on the bigger size for a receiver so he’s not afraid to go into traffic and find contact.
Chris Lofton Chris Lofton 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR AC Flora | 2023 State SC / Adonis McDaniel Adonis McDaniel 5'10" | 165 lbs | WR Ridge View | 2023 State SC , A.C. Flora
Another exciting duo plays for the Falcons. Lofton has shown his shiftiness at both receiver and in the return game. He had 1,128 all purpose yards and a total of 10 touchdowns that included four on special teams. McDaniel ended the year with 485 receiving yards and five touchdowns on 36 receptions.
Apollos Cook Apollos Cook 6'2" | 205 lbs | WR Aiport | 2023 State SC , River Bluff
Cook recently returned from the National Combine where he earned honorable mention recognition. He is another big body that has the ability to win most jump ball situations. He led the Gators with 45 catches for 470 yards and 7 touchdowns this season.
Nate Branch Nate Branch 5'10" | 180 lbs | WR Lower Richland | 2023 State SC , Lower Richland
Branch is a big-play threat. He averaged over 27 yards per catch on his way to 31 receptions for 855 touchdowns and 10 touchdowns for the Diamonds. He’s also a threat in the return game. Offers are coming in at a fast pace and likely will increase by the end of the spring.
Tyler Brown Tyler Brown 6'0" | 160 lbs | WR Greenville | 2023 State SC , Greenville
Brown is another big-play threat that finished with 71 catches for 1,034 yards and 15 touchdowns. He’s got a quick first step and is a precise route-runner. If Brown adds a little more bulk in the offseason, his recruiting should heat-up quickly.
Zion Wright Zion Wright 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR Saluda | 2023 State SC , Saluda
Wright is a highly coveted basketball prospect as well but has used his 6-4 frame well on the football field as well. He ended this past season with 29 catches for 531 yards and three scores. He has a high ceiling as he continues to grow as a football prospect.
