Tavorus Jones Tavorus Jones 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB Burges | 2022 State TX – Burges
5’10” – 195 lbs
Jones had himself a very productive senior season, rushing for 1,673 yards with 20 rushing touchdowns, and showed his receiving skills with 30 receptions for 597 yards and 6 receiving touchdowns. Jones showed great quickness and change of direction, and was light on his feet. He possesses excellent burst to get through running lanes that gets his to the endzone along with his elusiveness in the open field. His talent with the ball in his hands shows why he is a top back in the country and how Mizzou has found themselves a gem in Jones.
Jadarian Price Jadarian Price 5'11" | 180 lbs | RB Denison | 2022 State TX – Denison
5’11” – 180 lbs
Out of the gates Price shows why he made it onto this list. His ability to change gears in a snap and out run an entire defense is top notch. His burst, open field speed, and ability to break tackles were a reason why he ran for 1,803 and 18 touchdowns. The Notre Dame signee was a complete gamechanger for his team for his last high school season.
Jalen Washington Jalen Washington 5'9" | 190 lbs | RB Montgomery | 2022 State TX – Montgomery
5’9″ – 190 lbs
The Sam Houston signee put up numbers that were top of the state with 2,281 rushing yards and 32 rushing touchdowns. Elusive with top vision and strong drive as a runner. He is a physical runner who invites contact and helped his team to a very impressive 11-1 record.
Dareion Murphy Dareion Murphy 6'0" | 195 lbs | RB Floresville | 2022 State TX – Floresville
6’0″ – 195 lbs
The Princeton signee never went down easy and took defenders for rides frequently. Murphy hit the hole with power amd showed much athleticism on his runs. At times his speed would catch defenses off guard as they had no chance of catching him once he saw open field. For his senior season, Murphy ran for 1,777 yards and 24 touchdowns.
Xavier Owens Jr. – North Shore
5’8″ – 180 lbs
State champion Owens Jr. was extremely productive during his senior season for the Mustangs. With new quarterbacks, the run game was crucial and Owens Jr. led the way. When the team needs a big first down, Owens was the man. He was a selfless player who did what was needed for the entirety of the season, which led to a championship and a spot on the state’s bets backs. Any program will be gaining a winner with the addition of Owens Jr.
