NYSPHAA State Championships Class A: Top Offensive Performers

<p>Class A the second largest classification in New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHAA) provided undoubtedly the most fireworks and most drama from NYSPHAA State Championships Weekend December 3<sup>rd</sup> thru December 4<sup>th</sup>. Christian Brothers Academy of Syracuse (CBA-Syracuse) and Somers battled back and forth for 48 minutes and at the end it was a game sealing interception on a 2-point conversion that persevered CBA-Syracuse’s 32-31 win and NYSPHAA Class A State Championship. Here, we look at some of the top offensive players from the game.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="231555" first="Jordan" last="Rae"] – Quarterback (CBA-Syracuse)</strong></p> <p>The junior went 25 of 35 for 346 yards and tossed 3 touchdowns passes of 50 yards, 36 yards and 1 yard. Showed poise, command, and deadly pinpoint accuracy in helping lead his team to victory. Pitts had 5 receptions for 97 yards and a touchdown that covered 50 yards. Lower end Power 5 and Group of 5 schools will probably be reaching out to Mr. Pitts in the near future after a state title game performance like he had making big plays all over the field. Dass carried the ball 11 times for 57 yards and added a rushing touchdown with a 4.8 yard per carry average on the day.
