CJ Carr CJ Carr 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Saline | 2024 State MI – Saline – QB – 6’3″ 175 lbs
Carr is already one of the best QBs in the state in the pocket. He plays very intelligent and doesn’t ever panic. Carr has been very well-coached his entire career and you can tell. His footwork is a thing of beauty. He throws a beautiful football with a nice touch. It comes out very naturally and always has a ton of zip behind it. He’s going to square his shoulders and deliver the ball right where it needs to be. You can tell he knows how to read the defenses and has an understanding at the LOS of what is coming. He’s a very smart football player who uses his intellect on the field. For someone his age, that is very rare. He’s also able to extend plays with his legs and take off running when the answer isn’t there. I wouldn’t be surprised when it is all said and done that he becomes one of the best recruits in the entire nation. He’s already sitting on offers from IU, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, and Notre Dame. Carr has it all and is only getting better. He has every tool you need in your toolbox to be successful and I can’t wait to see where he ends up.
Isaiah Marshall Isaiah Marshall 6'0" | 210 lbs | QB Southfield A&T | 2024 State MI – Southfield A&T – QB – 6’0″ 208 lbs
Marshall is a phenomenal athlete who is very dangerous with the ball in his hands. He isn’t a run-first QB but when he does run he’s going to create a ton of damage. He’s able to make guys miss, run them over, or even just run right by them. He has very good vision when he’s running and has no issue laying out or diving to fight for every inch. In the passing game, he’s solid. He doesn’t throw the prettiest ball nor does he have the best mechanics but he’s still learning and developing. You can see the progress from the start of the year to the end of the year. He’s getting better every time he steps on the field. He throws with much more touch than he does velocity as well. The ball is always on time and ends up right in the receiver’s arms. Marshall is the heart and soul of that offense and everything runs through him. He finished the year with just under 3000 scrimmage yards and 37 total TDs. Marshall has offers from Central Michigan, Florida Atlantic, and Kansas. More offers are going to come his way in the coming years.
Connor Wolf Connor Wolf 6'3" | 180 lbs | QB Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2024 State MI – Grand Rapids Catholic Central – QB – 6’1″ 165 lbs
Wolf is best in the pocket when he’s able to sit back and manipulate the defense. He plays very fast and reads the defense presnap and knows where to go with the ball. His footwork and mechanics aren’t perfect but both are very good, especially for his age. He’s a pocket passer who is going to shred the defense if they don’t get any pressure on him. He isn’t going to put the ball in danger and will light up the defense in a flash. He doesn’t have a huge arm but he throws it very accurately with a beautiful touch. In the running game, he isn’t going to be much of a factor. He doesn’t take off and run very often but when he does he is very smart with it. He will take what’s there, slide down, and get up to fight another down. Grand Rapids CC went undefeated this year and Wolf obviously had a lot to do with that. He takes the offense up and down the field regularly without turning the ball over. I haven’t been able to locate any offers for him but by the time he comes out, it is very likely that he will be able to handpick his college.
Everett Shumaker Everett Shumaker 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Divine Child | 2024 MI – Divine Child – QB – 5’11″ 160 lbs
Shumaker is a fantastic athlete who is going to kill the defense if they don’t pay attention to him. He’s a fantastic runner who is able to take off and run and create positive yards every time he touches the ball. He takes long strides and gets down the field in a flash. He’s always able to shake off the first defender before going down. In the passing game, he’s decent. His footwork and mechanics are getting better and he has a few more years to work on them behind the scenes. He doesn’t have a huge arm but he throws with very soft touch and gets the ball where it needs to be when it needs to be there. Schumaker doesn’t make a ton of mistakes and is always good for one special play a game. He’s young, he’s developing, but he’s already one of the best in the state. If he’s able to put it all together by the time he graduates he will probably rewrite the record books for Divine Child. He doesn’t have any college offers yet but he’s going to have a ton of schools knocking on his door by the time he graduates.
