Quince Orchard and Wise both enter this game undefeated and both are regarded as the top two public schools in the state of Maryland. There is plenty of offensive talent, expect these guys to show out and make their mark in the title game.
[player_tooltip player_id="192541" first="Donovan" last="Brown"] (2022) | 6’3 WR | Quince Orchard
Brown is a tall receiver that is a dangerous deep threat. He has a great release off the line which allows him to avoid being pressed at the line. He has great speed which makes him real explosive after the catch. Because he is such a threat with the ball Quince Orchard will even line him up as a wildcat quarterback and run reverses to him. He is versatile as he can be a traditional deep threat receiver and an explosive gadget player. Look for QO to get Brown the ball in different ways Friday.
[player_tooltip player_id="90508" first="Jayden" last="Sauray"] (2022) | 6’0 QB | Wise
Sauray is probably the best quarterback in the state. He is very polished as he shows great anticipation and timing on his throws. He is a decisive decision-maker and gets the ball out of his hands quickly. He is accurate inside of the pocket when his feet are set. He also has enough athleticism to get outside of the pocket and make throws on the run. Sauray will look to cap off his high school career with a big game.
Makhi Walker (2022) | 5’11 WR | Quince Orchard
Walker is a solid all-around receiver. He runs good routes and has good hands. He is also a great blocker which leads QO to line him up as an H-back at times. He is very versatile as he can route routes, block, and even carry the ball if needed. He is also their punter so don’t be surprised if Quince Orchard takes advantage of his athleticism and fakes a punt. Walker is quietly a big piece of this offense and will look to make a bigger impact Friday.
[player_tooltip player_id="90613" first="Dadrian" last="Carter-Williams"] (2022) | 5’9 RB | Wise
Carter-Williams has all the tools college coaches look for in a back. He has great vision, he’s shifty, and he is dangerous in open space. His shiftiness makes him dangerous when Wise runs spread as he has more space to make defenders miss. He also has good vision and gets upfield as quickly as possible which makes him effective in more traditional offensive sets. He will get plenty of opportunities to make plays in this game.
[player_tooltip player_id="180896" first="Zachary" last="Anderson"] (2023) | 6’2 T | Quince Orchard
Anderson is a versatile lineman that can line up at any of the 5 positions on the offensive line. He has seemed to settle in at tackle. He is a perfect modern-day tackle as he excels in both the run game and in pass protection. He does a great job of driving edge defenders away and creating a hole for ball carriers. In pass protection, he does a great job once he gets his hands on defenders and doesn’t allow defenders to shed his block. Wise is very quick upfront and it will be a big test for Anderson.
[player_tooltip player_id="90570" first="Christopher" last="Miller"] (2022) | 6’5 T | Wise
Miller is a big tackle that has NFL size. He is not only big but he is very skilled. He is a dominant run blocker. He has quick hands and has great hand placement as he always gets inside position. He also does a great job on double teams and getting to the second level. In pass protection, he has good footwork and uses those strong hands to control defenders. Quince Orchard has a couple of really good edge rushers so the battle on the end of the line of scrimmage is going to be fun to watch.
