This game featured a battle of two of the top running backs from the weekend in Ryan EstradaRyanEstrada

El Dorado | 2026 StateTX of Dallas and Jevalen Wade of Austin. They were both tremendous running backs that execute on the field in their own styles.

was the best skill player on the 8th grade level in my opinion. His speed combined with his strength was unmatched, as defenders had a tough time tackling him solo due to his ability to outrun bigger defenders and outmuscle smaller defenders. He's a very powerful runner with the ability to rack up 10 yards almost every time. Has home-run speed if you give him an opening, but mainly was a Bell Cow back. In face, I didn't see him get tackled for a loss a single time. Estrada also lined up at wide receiver in empty sets and was their main target in the passing game as well. As a receiver he showed good hands and crisp route running. He's just an all-around offensive weapon, and has a similar game to Saquon Barkley.
Jevalen Wade is a special kind of running back with home run ability. He's a fast prospect that knew how to make a defender miss and keep the chains moving. From what I saw he was the biggest threat to go the distance at any point. Wade used great vision to see the openings and made big plays happen, highlighted by several 60+ yard touchdowns. In addition to his physical ability, he showed a high football IQ by knowing when he should make a move or turn on the afterburners in races to the boundaries.
Ernesto Chavez Jr of Dallas was the best middle linebacker I saw during the weekend. He had crazy ability to play sideline to sideline and hunt down outside zones, stretches, sweeps and tosses. Chavez was also strong at stopping inside runs and covering backs out of the back field.
Dallas kicker Clark Lemmermann was a consistent kicker who had the same stroke every time. I didn't get to see any kicks from distance, but I like the form and the ball was end over end, so he had full control of his kicks.

Forney | 2026 StateTX of Dallas was a playmaker on both sides of the ball. At running back he was a nice compliment to Estrada, while on defense he had a nose for the ball and was picking off passes. Osborne wasn't great at one particular thing, but was good at everything. He's the definition of a true football player.
With the battle of the running backs going tuddy for tuddy, the final score was Austin 33 – Dallas 15.
