While I was working on ranking the linebackers, there was a point where I sat back and said to myself "Wow. This class is stacked!" There are so many great linebackers with an incredible amount of potential, and the way these guys rise and fall in the rankings over the next few years will be interesting to watch. For now, check out the current top 5!
#1 [player_tooltip player_id="187999" first="Jeremiah" last="Beasley"] (#5 overall)
Fast and explosive, Beasley is a key cog in the Belleville defense. I mean, what can I say? A dominant force for Belleville who has an insane amount of talent, with a high work ethic, and world-class coaching. Beasley can line up on the line or as a proper backer, and he possesses elite reaction and play recognition. He’s also very physical and does not allow himself to be blocked.
#2 [player_tooltip player_id="187998" first="Daivon" last="Hill"] (#13 overall)
Hill is a linebacker that has a great collegiate future ahead of time, and eas already a force for the River Rouge defense. Standing at 5’11" 210lbs, he’s already an amazing size which makes him fly around the field and hit hard. Though, he may be more of a running back than a linebacker as his frame makes him into a similarly dominant back who has great potential. I can’t wait to see what he’s able to do on both side of the ball!
#3 [player_tooltip player_id="251230" first="William" last="Gaskell V"] (#23 overall)
Gaskell had one of, if not the best season out of all C/O 2024 defensive players this season, certainly the best out of all the linebackers. Gaskell had an unheard-of 134 tackles, 17TFL’s, 6 sacks, 3 INT’s and 2 touchdowns on the year with Milan, and was named to numerous all-state teams, dream teams, all-region, etc. Gaskell and Campbell (DL) look to be some of the best linemen in the state and in D4. Gaskell deserves all the recognition he can get and may even got up in the ranks next season.

#4 [player_tooltip player_id="188043" first="Huston" last="Eubank"] (#28 overall)
Very talented and athletic, Eubank is going to be the key to the success of Roseville’s defense. Mostly lining up on the outside, his athleticism can shut down a team from running the ball on his side. His reaction time is incredible and is a very hard-hitter. He’s already getting plenty of attention from colleges from all around the state and his future seems to be very bright!

#5 [player_tooltip player_id="80934" first="Carter" last="Herriman"] (#29 overall)
Herriman has blossomed into an insanely good prospect that was a dominant force on the Davison D. With 70 tackles, 9 TFL’s and 2 forced fumbles, he’s truly a great athlete who will get some college attention. The name of his game is play recognition and very hard hits, hence the 2 forced fumbles. Standing at 6’1" 200lbs, Herriman is a great size and weight and will have the opportunity to rise in the ranks throughout 2022.
