There were many athletes that lit up the scoreboard and shined bright when it mattered the most. We will focus on the top running backs in the class of 2023 that you should keep an eye on. That being said, scroll down below and take a look at the top prospects in New Jersey. RB, [player_tooltip player_id="181958" first="Brandon" last="Boria"], Cherokee High School 5’11 200 Mr. Boria was the spark plug to this offense. He earned second- team all conference and led Cherokee to the Group 5 sectional final appearance. Boria finished the season with 1,694 yards on 206 carries and 20 touchdowns. Boria does a lot of things well. He has excellent knee bend and vision. He is very elusive in the open field and difficult to bring down. RB, [player_tooltip player_id="183631" first="Jhamier" last="Howard"] , Manasquan 6’0 180 Mr. Howard has an impressive junior season. He finished the year with 328 yards on 54 carries and four touchdowns. Howard is a versatile back who is a reliable pass catcher as well. He caught seven passes for 138 yards and three scores. Howard has tremendous upside as he prepares for his senior season. RB, Dario Dejonge , Nottingham 5’11 205 Mr. Dejonge is a power back that runs well behind pads. He didn’t carry a huge load this season but with upperclassmen graduating he will be the next man up. Dejonge has potential to be a three down back and carry Nottingham to another great season. RB, [player_tooltip player_id="183659" first="Brayden" last="Nolan"], Newton 5’8 180 Mr. Nolan had an impressive junior season. He earned First- Team all conference and First-Team All- State. He is a versatile athlete that is efficient on both the ground and as a pass catcher. On the ground, he finished with 1,120 yards on 125 carries and 14 touchdowns. Also, caught 24 passes for 494 yards and 8 touchdowns. Nolan averaged over 100 yards rushing and 5 yards per carry. Despite his size, Nolan is a very good runner with excellent feet and vision. He does a great job making defenders miss in the open field. Expect Nolan to have amazing senior season.
