On Saturday December 18th, 2021 I went to Dallas, TX to watch the UIL 6A Division II State Championship High School football game at The AT&T Stadium. This game was between The Austin Westlake Chaparrals (16-0) vs The Denton Guyer Wildcats (14-2). During the 1st half both teams were evenly matched. However, during the 3rd quarter Austin Westlake was finally warmed up. Austin Westlake conquered both the 3rd and 4th quarter. This led to the final scored being 21-40 with The Austin Westlake Chaparrals going undefeated and becoming the 6A Division II State Champions. Austin Westlake had a lot of standouts on both sides of the ball. I will be discussing Austin Westlake’s offensive standouts.

#9 [player_tooltip player_id="60848" first="Jaden" last="Greathouse"] WR Jr 6’3 200 lbs

Talk about a standout athlete wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="60848" first="Jaden" last="Greathouse"]. What can’t I say about Jaden he’s fast, tall, quick all great traits from a wide receiver. Jaden used his speed to beat out his defender and get completely open for passes. Jaden was good at taking tackles and staying on his feet. Jaden will be very essential next year in his senior year. Jaden is also a top college prospect having numerous college and universities offers from; Arkansas State University, Baylor University, University of Miami, Oklahoma University, Penn State University, Texas Christian University and University of Texas. Jaden wrapped up the game with seven receptions, 236 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

#6 [player_tooltip player_id="60713" first="Cade" last="Klubnik"] QB Sr 6’2 185 lbs

[player_tooltip player_id="60713" first="Cade" last="Klubnik"] is an exceptional quarterback. Cade can throw the ball and was fast at running the ball. Cade also had great awareness he never got sacked or missed an open receiver. Cade is a great leader and is the center of Austin Westlake’s offense. Cade was able to end out his high school football career a state champion. Cade is also a top college prospect having numerous college and universities offers from; University of Arizona, University of Clemson, Auburn University, Baylor University, Louisiana State University, Texas State University, and many others. With all these offers to choose from Cade decided to commit to The University Of Clemson to continue his football career. Cade wrapped up the game with 14 completions out of 21 attempts, eight carries, 66 rushing yards and four touchdown passes.

#5 [player_tooltip player_id="122030" first="Keaton" last="Kubecka"] Jr 6’3 195 lbs

[player_tooltip player_id="122030" first="Keaton" last="Kubecka"] didn’t get a lot of chances to shine, but he contributed to Austin Westlake success in this game. Keaton was extremely fast and he used his speed to get open for his one and only catch of the game. However, this catch led to a touchdown. Keaton is also a college prospect having four offers from different colleges and universities. Keaton has offers from Texas A&M University, Arkansas State University, Kansas University and University of Houston.

#25 Hunter Henault RB, MLB Sr 5’11 180 lbs

Hunter Henault is a dependable running back. When Hunter got the ball in his hands he was able to put Austin Westlake in a great spot. With his speed and strength he was able to burst through the middle and get the necessary yards he needed. I would have enjoyed to see Hunter get more chances to run the ball. Also, with his high school football career over I hope gets a chance to play at the collegiate level. Hunter wrapped up the game with six carries and 45 rushing yards.
