<p class="p1"><span class="s1">On Friday December 3rd, 2021 The Katy Paetow Panthers played against The Hightower Hurricane in the 5A division I championship game. The Katy Paetow Panthers started off strong and aggressive. They built a run heavy offense around their star running back Jacob Brown. Paetow was overwhelming The Hightower Hurricanes defense and they couldn’t stop Jacob. The final was 35-12 with The Katy Paetow Panthers coming out victorious. The Katy Paetow Panthers had great standouts on both sides of the ball. I will be discussing the standouts on both offense and defense. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">#25 Jacob Brown RB Sr 6’0 200 lbs </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Katy Paetow offense focused around one athlete the running back Jacob Brown. Jacob is a power back with speed to boot. Whenever Jacob touched the ball, he was unstoppable. Jacob was able to break tackle after tackle for big runs and big gain. Not only was Jacob a powerful runner he was also extremely fast. Once Jacob broke through the inside of Hightower’s defense he would take it all the way to the end zone. Jacob is a top college prospect having numerous college and universities offers from; Navarro College, Houston Baptist University, Howard Payne University, Texas Wesleyan University, and Cisco junior college. Jacob ended the game with terrific stats he had 30 carries with 350 rushing yards and scored all five of Paetow’s touchdowns. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">#94 Jacob Johnson DE Sr 6’3 205 lbs </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Jacob Johnson on the defensive line was a strong and menacing presence. Jacob was quick off the ball, tall and strong as expected from a defensive lineman. Jacob used technique to get passed the offensive line to get into the backfield. Jacob ended the night with five overall tackles. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">#91 Loghan Thomas DE So 6’4 205 lbs </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Loghan Thomas is another standout defensive end. Loghan was quick and fast off the ball. Loghan speed and technique really stood out to me especially since he’s still only a sophomore. If Loghan continues to improve in the next three year he could become a top college prospect. Loghan ended the night with five overall tackles and one big sack. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">#4 K.J Truehill CB Sr 6’0 165 lbs </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">K.J Truehill is a great defensive cornerback. K.J was fast, always provided great coverage and made good tackles. K.J was able to catch an interception, caused a fumble and recovered it. K.J ended the night with six overall tackles. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">#46 Alexander Kilgore ILB Jr 6’2 210 lbs and #49 Sultan Bakare ILB Sr 6’1 </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Both of these defensive inside linebackers had a great night against The Hightower Hurricanes. #46 Alexander Kilgore and #49 Sultan Bakare. These two together pressured and overwhelmed The Hightower offense. Alexander was powerful and Sultan was fast. Each of them were able to stop run plays short and pressure the quarterback to rush his play. Alexander ended the night with 14 overall tackles and Sultan had 10 overall tackles with two sacks. </span></p>
