2A State Title Game Tonight

As they say: something has to give tonight (7:00) at Gene Cox Stadium in Tallahassee when two-time defending 2A state champion <strong><em>Hialeah Champagnat Catholic </em></strong>takes on last year's 3A state champion <strong><em>Jacksonville Trinity Christian</em></strong>. The Lions and Conquerors. Coach <strong>Hector Clavijo</strong> and legendary head coach <strong>Verlon Dorminey.</strong> It's a small school classic with two very impressive football teams, who basically everyone predicted that would happen. While Trinity has had that football lineage for decades, it's all new to Champagnat Catholic. From the beginning, this was a program that embraced the sport and played it at a high level – as all three of the school's football coaches (<strong>Mike Tunsil, Dennis Marroquin</strong> and Clavijo) winning at least one crown.
