2022 Rankings: Quarterback Breakdowns

We just recently updated the player rankings which included 185 college prospects.  I am going to review four of the top quarterback prospects which includes a lengthy list of signal-callers: <strong><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/byrum-brown/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="28670" first="Byrum" last="Brown"]</span></a>, Rolesville HS (No. 1 QB, No. No.1 Overall)</strong>.  Byrum finished the season as the top quarterback in the Class of 2022.  <a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/byrum-brown/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="28670" first="Byrum" last="Brown"]</span></a> stellar performance throughout the season propelled him to the number one spot.  The South Florida University commit compiled 3,701 passing yards, 43 Passing TDS, 1,173 rushing yards, and 13 rushing TDs for the season.  Byrum delivered accurate passes mixed with running to gain yards throughout the season.  <strong><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/byrum-brown/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="28670" first="Byrum" last="Brown"]</span></a></strong> displayed leadership and poise in leading his team to the Eastern Regional 4A Championship Game. <strong><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/skyler-locklear/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="130376" first="Skyler" last="Locklear"]</span></a>, Cleveland HS (No. 2 QB, No. 33 Overall)</strong>.  Skyler has a strong arm and is an accurate long-ball passer.  He displayed speed and quickness while running to gain yards.  Skyler quickly accelerates past defenders in the open field.  <a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/skyler-locklear/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="130376" first="Skyler" last="Locklear"]</span></a> sets up in the pocket and delivers passes with a quick release.  The Austin Peay St. University commit compiled 2,160 passing yards, 22 passing TDs, 587 rushing yards and 14 rushing TDs for the season. <strong><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/jahmier-slade/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="28645" first="Jahmier" last="Slade"]</span><span class="info-box"><span class="player-img"><img class=" ls-is-cached lazyloaded" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/user-uploads/ACA36C31-8488-4BD3-9C97-B05B54C28056-150x150.jpeg" data-src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/user-uploads/ACA36C31-8488-4BD3-9C97-B05B54C28056-150x150.jpeg" /></span></span></a>, Dudley HS (No. 3 QB, No. 36 Overall)</strong>.  Jahmier is an accurate passer on the medium and long-range passes.  He displayed a quick release on his passes in the pocket.  Jahmier is a dual threat as runner who used quickness and bursts of speed to run past defenders to gain yards.  He compiled 2,303 passing yards, 30 passing TDs, 812 rushing yards and 7 rushing TDs for the season.  [player_tooltip player_id="28645" first="Jahmier" last="Slade"] displayed leadership and poise in leading his team to the State 3A Championship. <a class="pn-player-link" style="font-weight: bold;" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/lucas-lenhoff-2/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="141291" first="Lucas" last="Lenhoff"]</span></a><b>, Myers Park HS (No.4 QB, No. 53 Overall)</b>.  Lucas displayed a strong arm and is an accurate long-ball passer.  He delivered passes on target while under pressure in the pocket.  <strong><a class="pn-player-link" href="https://prepredzone.com/player/lucas-lenhoff-2/"><span class="name-pointer">[player_tooltip player_id="141291" first="Lucas" last="Lenhoff"]</span></a></strong> compiled 3,071 passing yards and 35 passing TDs for the season.
