The class of 2022 Linebackers did not disappoint when it comes to top-end talent and depth. Leading the way is Erasmus Hall star [player_tooltip player_id="227129" first="Moses" last="Walker"]. Many consider Walker one of the top linebackers in the country. The overall depth at LB is strong for the 2022 class. There are some talented Linebackers in New York from Brooklyn to Rochester.

His name will probably keep appearing all over recruiting pages because he is that good. He hits like dynamite and has instincts to match. Moses makes plays at every level of the defense, and he arrives with bad intentions. He is athletic enough to run down speedy backs on outside runs, but he also gets to his drops fast. Nevertheless, Rutgers was able to hold off Penn State for his services.

Like Walker, [player_tooltip player_id="226842" first="Kanye" last="Davis"] is a well-built Linebacker who plays downhill fast and hits like a truck. Watching Davis on film, it is easy to notice how dynamic he is. Davis processes the play quickly and commits to the hit when he finds his victim. So far, he has a division one offer from Marist College.

The first time I saw [player_tooltip player_id="225782" first="Muhamed" last="Boja"] play, I knew this kid was special. Boja is a natural linebacker, and his instincts prove it he can dissect plays almost instantly. What is unique about the Cardinal Hayes LB is that his best games seemed to be against the top talented teams. Against Iona Prep, Boja made some head-turning plays and hits. He might not be on the radar, but I think Boja can be a real problem on any college level.
[player_tooltip player_id="232900" first="Kaloni" last="McIntyre"] - Iona Prep
Kaloni is the ideal hybrid prospect as he can lineup at Linebacker or Safety. In addition, he shows fluid hips and can stay in the hip pockets of Wide Receivers. At 6’3, [player_tooltip player_id="232900" first="Kaloni" last="McIntyre"] has a great range to make plays all over the field in coverage. Iona Prep could line him up across any Wide Receiver because of his coverage ability. Stony Brook and Bryant University have offered the hybrid Linebacker.
[player_tooltip player_id="228856" first="Justin" last="Garcia"] - Curtis

Garcia was one of the leaders on a star-studded Curtis defense. He posted highlight hits and showed discipline with scraping over the top against the run. [player_tooltip player_id="228856" first="Justin" last="Garcia"] could play any of the Linebacker positions as he understands the nuances of the different roles.
[player_tooltip player_id="227699" first="Jack" last="Kaiser"] - Trinity-Pawling

If you love versatile athletic linebackers then you want to watch [player_tooltip player_id="227699" first="Jack" last="Kaiser"]. He is dangerous as a running back, and that vision translates to his linebacker play. Kaiser does a great job at chasing down plays on the perimeter with his speed. His instincts show when he dissects between the tackles and makes big hits in the backfield.
