When Hawthorne and Madison County get together this evening (7:00) at Gene Cox Stadium Tallahassee, each team will have that chip on their shoulder.
Let's talk about the Hornets, who lost in their first ever trip to the state finals last year to Baker, certainly have kept that loss with them since then and have gone undefeated – against some quality opponents.
THESE COWBOYS ARE ROLLING
Forget the fact that Madison County is a fixture at the state championships, they are also a team that has that revenge – a little payback on their minds, themselves. They were knocked off in the state semifinals – by Hawthorne, so they have been thinking about the same thing, and that's why this sets up to be quite a game.
The Cowboys roll into this game on an eight-game winning streak, and yes, they are loaded and the defense has yielded just one touchdown in the last 23 quarters – which is amazing.
