What We Learned after 3rd Round of Playoffs

From game-day performances to recruiting, here are some things we learned after the third round of playoffs. &nbsp; <strong>Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id="64022" first="Alex" last="Erby"]</strong> A new team will be crowned 1A state champions after Steelton-Highspire lost in the first round of the PIAA state playoffs. In a heartbreak 32-27 loss, Erby’s performance wasn’t enough. Erby went 17-for-26 246 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also threw 2 interceptions. Erby broke school records as a sophomore. After 11 games played, he finished the season completing 83.3% of his passes with a minimum of 150 attempts. He threw over 3,000 yards and had 42 passing touchdowns. Excited to see what he does next season. He carried the ball 44 times for 229 yards and 3 touchdowns in an overtime win over McKeesport in the WPIAL 4A Semi-final. Lebanon QB [player_tooltip player_id="87823" first="Joey" last="Daniels"]</strong> Daniels who was coming off an injury the previous game came out firing in the WPIAL 6A title game. He did not have mind-blowing stats going 11-for-13 135 yards and 3 touchdowns. The way he performed live was just really impressive. Daniels and Mt. Lebanon will face McDowell in the PIAA 6A Quarterfinals. Teams may think he will de-commit as the Virginia Tech head coach was let go. Hiester had a few FCS offers and D-II offers. Hiester received a preferred walk-on offer from West Virginia earlier this month. So when he made his announcement he was committing soon a few days ago, it was obvious where we would choose.
