Upper Arlington proved their might last night beating New Albany 41-14. Below I will detail the top defensive performances.
Upper Arlington Offensive Standouts
#14 Simon Monnin, QB (2022) - Simon had a very productive night. He is a commander of an efficient offense who gets first downs and moves the ball well. He is very skilled passer with accuracy. Plays a more traditional style of QB and has a good sense of the his offense. He routinely makes efficient plays and decisions. Athletic enough to hurt you with his legs.
#33 [player_tooltip player_id="91583" first="Carson" last="Gresock"], RB (2022) - One of the best players in Ohio and an absolute workhorse. He is a bruiser behind his pads. Has low center of gravity and isn’t easy to tackle. Runs the zone play like a seasoned veteran. Can catch out of the backfield at a high level. Very impressive football player with great potential at the next level.
#2 Jack Purcell, WR (2022) - Jack is the kind of player who may have not shown up on the state sheet but got after it all night long in the blocking game. He is athletic and tough. Gets his hands inside and dominates corners and safeties. Very impressive route running and can sit down in a zone well. He is a very good football player and worth taking a long look at on film.

#2 [player_tooltip player_id="187526" first="Brock" last="Kidwell"] QB (2022) - Had two touchdowns on the ground leading the potent offensive rushing attack with his decision making and legs. He runs an option based offense with high efficiency. He has designed runs and read plays in his arsenal and does a tremendous job reading out the plays and making decisions. Very athletic in the open field and has the toughness to take hits in between the tackles. One of the best athletes in Central Ohio and can play multiple positions in college.
#44 Jadyn Garnes RB (2022) - Underrated for most of last season and this past offseason but easily one of the best backs in Central Ohio. Tough runner who churns out would be tacklers. He has a great sense of the gaps in the defense and exploits well with his good burst. Good wiggle in the open field with twitchy hips. Accelerates well pulling away from would be tacklers.
#32 Christian Manville WR (2023) - Very athletic player on the perimeter with good ability to catch the ball and make plays. He is a great blocker and very tenacious. His value is in his blocking and ability to spring runs on the outside. Digs out defenders on inside runs with good hand placement and foot drive. Very smart football player as he has too make quick decisions on whom to block.
