For 2023 prospects across the state, this year is a big one as they try to impress college coaches who are looking into the future of their program. We’re seeing some impact juniors start to stand out across the peach state and many of them are seeing their recruitment take off as we head towards the playoffs.
Here are a few 2023 prospects on the rise in Georgia….
Robert Billings – DB – Milton
One of the hardest hitting defenders in the 2023 class, Billings is coming off an excellent regular season for the 7A powerhouse Milton Eagles, showing he can both cover and help in the run game. The 6-foot-1 1805-pounder has made 46 total tackles from his safety position and has picked off four passes as well. He’s smart, instinctive, and has made a lot of plays for one of the state’s top defenses. He’s tough, knows how to hit, and is starting to see some offers come his way. Billings recently earned an offer from the in-state Georgia Bulldogs and more could be on the way shortly.

Ben Hall – RB – North Cobb
It’s been a big year for the North Cobb Warriors so far this season and they have a running back who has been turning heads recently. QB Malachi Singleton Malachi Singleton 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB North Cobb | 2023 State GA might lead the team in rushing, but junior running back Ben Hall has also been very effective on the ground this season. On just 81 carries, Hall has rushed for 489 yards and six touchdowns. He’s built well at 6-foot-0 220-pounds, but he’s also a smooth runner for a bigger back. He’s also caught 10 passes for 97 yards and two more touchdowns. He earned his first major offer this week from South Carolina and it likely won’t be his last. He’s a back to keep a close eye on in Cobb County.
After a great talk with @CoachSBeamer I am blessed to receive my first offer to the University of South Carolina! #SpursUp @MoHard20 @jhill_cocky @NCWarriorsFB @TQueen_15 @dallaswhite @RecruitGeorgia @ChadSimmons_ @GamecockFB pic.twitter.com/gwtFzx9rYd

Jayven Hall – LB/RB – Roswell
The Hornets are slowly becoming a state contender in 7A and they have plenty of under the radar talent on the roster. Hall, a do-it-all athlete and overall football guy, has had a big junior season, making tackle after tackle on defense while helping out at running back. The athletic 6-foot-1 205-pounder is a sure tackler who can rack them up in bunches. He made 20 tackles and one INT two weekends ago against cross-town rival Alpharetta, adding over 70 yards rushing as well. He’s one of the top under the radar athletes in the region, making 106 tackles, 15 TFLs, 2 INTs, and over 200 total yards on the season. He’s a sleeper recruit who has the talent, toughness, and instincts to play somewhere at the next level down the road.
Jamarion Wilcox – South Paulding
Still one of the top sleeper running backs west of Atlanta, Wilcox is having a big season for South Paulding, rushing 179 times in the regular season for 1,288 yards and 20 touchdowns. Expectations couldn’t be higher for Wilcox after winning MVP of the GA Elite game and going to the USA National Combine in Texas later on in the off-season. He’s a strong, physical runner at 5-foot-10 195-pounds with good vision and the ability to make people miss. He’s having a breakout junior season and it’s led to recent offers from Vanderbilt and Purdue.
