Rolesville v. Heritage Defensive Highlights

I was on the sidelines for the conference matchup between two teams which feature high-powered offensive units.  I witnessed a display of impressive  running attacks from both teams.  There were several impressive performances throughout the game. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="141375" first="Jacorrey" last="Bible"], LB, 6’3" 190, Rolesville HS</strong>.  Jacorrey displayed good reaction to the ball and closed in quickly to stop the play.  He moves well laterally and plays at a high-energy level.  [player_tooltip player_id="141375" first="Jacorrey" last="Bible"] had 10 total tackles for the game. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="141376" first="Ethan" last="Daniel"], CB, 6’0" 160, Rolesville HS</strong>.  Ethan displayed good technique and speed to cover ground quickly to stop the play.  He is a solid open-field tackler and is the leader of the defensive secondary.  [player_tooltip player_id="141376" first="Ethan" last="Daniel"] had 11 total tackles and 1 interception for the game. <strong>Ishawn Shoulars, DE, 6’2" 230, Rolesville HS</strong>.  Ishawn displayed quickness coming out of his stance and good use of hands to control blockers to stop the play.  He gives maximum effort on every play.  Ishawn Shoulars had 5 total tackles and 1 sack for the game. <strong>Aiden Pounds, LB, 5’9" 200, Rolesville HS</strong>.  Aiden displayed quickness and good lateral movement while closing quickly to stop the play.  He plays at a high-energy level.  Aiden Pounds had 7 total tackles for the game. <strong>Carston Casady, DE, 6’6" 270, Rolesville HS</strong>.  Carston displayed quickness coming out of his stance and good footwork to control blockers to stop the play.  He displayed good technique and use of hands to consistently get into the backfield to disrupt the play.  Carston Casady was the dominant player on the defensive line and had 15 total tackles, 4 for losses, and 2 sacks for the game. <strong>Sterling Elliott, MLB, 5’10" 200, Rolesville HS</strong>.  Sterling displayed good lateral movement and speed while closing quickly to stop the play.  He read the play and displayed good reaction to disrupt the play.  Sterling Elliot had 8 total tackles and assisted on several tackles for the game. <strong>Marco Patierno, LB, 6’2" 215, Heritage HS</strong>.  Marco displayed good speed and lateral movement while closing in to stop the play.  He is a very active player who runs well in the open field and the leader of the defensive unit.  Marco Patierno had 9 total tackles for the game. <strong>Matthew Preddice, DE, 6’4" 235, Heritage HS</strong>.  Matthew displayed quickness coming out of his stance and good use of hands while controlling blockers to stop the play.  Matthew Preddice used his quickness to move past blockers into the backfield and kept constant pressure on the quarterback throughout the game. <strong>Dillon Bethea, LB, 6’0" 205, Heritage HS</strong>.  Dillon displayed good lateral movement and speed to close quickly to stop the play.  Dillon had 4 total tackles and assisted on several tackles for the game. <strong>Foster Burt, FS, 6’1" 185, Heritage HS</strong>.  Foster displayed good technique and speed to close quickly to stop the play.  He is a very active player, quick reaction to the ball, and the leader of the defensive secondary.  Foster Burt had 4 total tackles and 2 interceptions for the game. &nbsp;
