Byron
#3 Braden Smith 6’0 170 23’ QB
Mr. Smith can make level 2 throws and puts a touch on the ball. He runs the triple option as the defense has to respect what he can do with his legs. When he’s in platform, he navigates the pocket well and can deliver a strike downfield – one of which resulted in a touchdown on the night.

#14 Ethan Palzkill 5’11 160 22’ RB
Stats: 3 receptions for 64 yards (1 TD), 9 carries for 78 yards (2 TDs)
Mr. Palzkill can make contested catches by high pointing the ball at the highest point. When he’s running routes, he can get in and out of breaks creating separation from the defender downfield. He did this all night swinging momentum back in his team’s favor throughout the night. This young man plays in a double-wing offense but is projected of being a slot WR at the next level at the D3 level.

#21 Chandler Binkley Chandler Binkley 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Byron | 2022 State IL 5’10 175 22’ RB Twitter
Mr. Binkley has the vision to find running lanes quickly between the tackles and is patient waiting for them to open up. He finishes plays well by keeping his feet driving and fighting for extra yards. His low center of gravity goes in his favor when breaking weak arm tackles and being able to bounce off hits racking up yards after contact.

#11 Dillon Rutledge 5’10 145 22’ WR
Mr. Rutledge can win over the top with his speed and does a good job with his break at the top of the route to create separation from the defender. He mainly runs underneath crossing routes in this offense, upon securing the catch he gets vertical quickly to increase his yards after the catch.

#2 Blake Kimball 6’0 170 22’ QB Twitter
Stats: 8/15 for 102 passing yards (1 TD), 9 carries for 26 yards
Mr. Kimball has legs to him as he has quarterback design runs and can pull the ball down to scramble. This threat keeps the opposing defense on their toes when game planning against him as he has a quick initial burst through the line of scrimmage which gives him an edge to get past the 1st level of defenders. When he’s working in platform, he puts a touch on the deep ball when making level 3 throws. When working out of platform he’s able to put zip on the ball and flip his hips in a fluid motion.
